[Status: Investigating 🕵️♀️] Custom Views: Push view to child projects and folders
ПрикрепленоCustom Views are a good start, but the are only available on the project or folder view where you first build it. If you go down one level they disappear.
Really we need an option to push a view we are happy with to all the child folders and projects.
The only way to get this now is to be very meticulous about building blueprint and then ensuring that all of the projects are created from that blueprint or duplicated from a project with the views.
Another example where Wrike does do what we want but it is very fiddly and fragile. Touch your nose, stand on one leg and spin counter clockwise and it works perfectly :)
Stretch goal: Allow administrators to add custom views as universal options to the Add view to this project menu.
Thank you for submitting your feedback and suggestion Owen Greenwell! I'm passing it on to the Product team!

A simple "Copy this view, or Use Existing Custom View" option in the dropdown list would also accomplish this. As Owen noted, while the custom views are awesome, it's a process that becomes more painstaking than necessary. It would be absolutely awesome to get a "Views" section in the account admin area that would show View Type (List, Table, etc.), Sort Tasks By, Filters, and Custom Fields included.
Thank you for supporting this suggestion John Mitchell!

This! We manage a lot of creative projects/timelines within client folders in Wrike and I wanted to set up a Custom View that shows only timeline-related fields for the purposes of exporting a "timeline" .xls file for clients (and vendors). Would be great to do it once and have the child folders assume rather than manually creating each time.
This! It would be great if the default view could be set at the top level, and all projects and sub-projects would be a lifesaver. It would be even better though if there was an area in the admin where we could set the default view for all projects, folders, and spaces.
Thanks, Ashley Fischer for your suggestions, greatly appreciated. I've shared them with our Product team 😊
Any updates on this? We are also in desperate need of applying custom table views with columns in a specific order to multiple folders, rather than having to create each one every time in different folders. Please, please make this possible! :)
To add another use case to this, we have some custom views created in Blueprints, but we've run into a situation where we want to make a change to that custom view and apply it to all projects that include that custom view. Like others have said, some admin way to have custom views and update them on projects would be great.
Hi Jacob Bodnar, thank you for sharing your use case. I've passed it on to our Product team. Please be sure to upvote the original suggestion if you haven't yet 👍🏼
this is an essential upgrade needed for any organisation.
Hi Ben Grams, thank you for adding your support here🙌🏼
Agree that this is needed. Currently for wrike project "maintenance" - especially that all custom fields are being populated correctly across different tasks for a project we manually created custom views (x5) at the Blueprint level - at the project level. But then had to duplicate those (x5) custom views across 15 different folder groupings within our space. This amount of manual creation for a custom view that is helpful for an entire team is not sustainable for manual creation where ever that view should be used.
This is indeed a major need. How many upvotes does it need to get on the radar? We were at 47 last time I checked.
Willie Freeman 60 upvotes seems to be the magic number.
Hi Elizabeth MacManus, Willie Freeman, and Ashley Fischer, thank you all for supporting this idea! I'm passing your feedback to our Product team 🙌🏼
Also, please allow me to share some detail about the process. This forum works based on the voting system that we have, and once any suggestion gets to 60 upvotes from the Community, it receives a product status. The number of votes helps the team understand how popular the suggestion is. Here's more detail on that.
Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions💚
Upvoted! Absolutely need this!
Upvoted. I have found several areas where Wrike needs to allow functionality to be applied globally. But allowing edits and pushing those edits to all projects using the custom view would be a game changer and save so much time. Appreciate BPs are an option but as we adapt and evolve we add info to table view.
Votes are over 60, is there a product status now please?
Hi everyone, apologies for the late reply!
I've checked with the Product team as this post got over the 60 votes threshold: they begin the research of this suggestion as they'd like to be able to provide a solution here in the future if they can. This research will take a considerable amount of time, and we will keep you posted on how it goes.
Thanks so much for providing your feedback here and upvoting, everyone 🤗

Would love if you could set a custom view as default for a workspace, even if you could select it as default view in tasks. and if each user could make personal custom views that they could select for ALL or for specific folders just for them. Yes....would be a game changer! Thank you!
Welcome to the Community Teresa McCann, thank you for sharing your feedback! The team continues their research for this idea 👍

I just found this request looking for info on this particular feature. It is SO needed for us as well!
We build ALL of our school consulting projects for the entire year over the summer as our delivery period is on a fixed school year schedule. This means that we have to decide on all the views, columns, and layouts we want for everything we will do over the course of 12 months within a very short period of time prior to duplicating blueprints and building thousands of tasks.
Needless to say, each year we regret some decision we made (column in the wrong order, missing custom view, etc.) and it is impossible to fix this without doing all of the work again. Of course, once the work actually starts we can't change anything because we already have data in the tasks. This limits us to only rolling out new views or columns to once a year, which limits innovation on our project management processes. Please keep investigating this as it is mission critical for us to find a solution.
One thing I had hoped to see with the roll out of custom item types was the possibility to design views for custom item types and have those cascade to every matching project and task. This would be incredibly helpful and worth investing product developing time in.
Hi Stephanie Castilla, thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback and use case here. I'm passing it on to our Product team👍🏼
Upvoted! I just found Wrike Custom Views and I'm going through the effort to add the same custom view with the same settings to all our commonly used folders and projects. It's highly manual and, should we need to change something about the view, it will be just as manual to change the view in each location.
I love the idea of having views that get pushed to all sub-folders and projects from a top level. We have folders and sub-folders nested 7 and 8 levels deep.
It would even be a time-savings if, in addition to "create custom view", we also had access to an "import custom view". Of course I would hope that an import process is just a stop-gap measure before the custom views can be inherited.
Hi Dave Trost, welcome to the Community and thank you for chiming in here and sharing your use case. I'm passing it on to the team👍🏼
We also need this. Surprised that Wrike doesn't have this built in. Setting it up over and over is a time suck.
For other users- one work around that we have found is to build the custom view into a Blueprint and then always start any project via the blueprint. Cumbersome and hard to train full team to do it this way.
This is fabulous, I just wrote another article for a similar request. This could be achieved with custom item types for folders and projects if Wrike gave us the ability to lock in views and filters for those items types. Furthermore, the ability to lock in custom task item types.
I also love the "copy down" idea. Would love to do this on a SPACE level too.
Hi Chris Farr and Andre Herrero, thank you so much for your input here!
We've passed this on to the team and we'll be sure to keep you updated with any news 👍

Any updates on this request? This is a pretty big time suck for our team as well.
