[From Wrike] Dashboard Widgets Based on Multiple Folders and Projects 📁📁📁

Hey there! 🙂

We’re very happy to share a product release that many of you have been waiting for! 💥

It’s now possible to select as many source folders/projects as you need when creating a task widget. This functionality is currently supported for the following widget types:
  • Custom widget
  • Active tasks by assignee
  • Tasks by Status

A huge thanks to our awesome community members who’ve been supporting this suggestion on our Product Feedback forum! 🙌

We’d love to know what you think! Let us know in the comments below👇

I love that this is available for tasks! Can we take one step further and provide this type of widget for projects?

Love this as well. Any chance we can have a way to "exclude" folders i.e. show all folders except these?

Mike Vujovich there is actually a way for this (although I consider it a bit backwards and it excludes option for several folders to be included)

  1. Use "notin:" search command, in the folder of your choosing (it helps if title of folder doesn't have spaces in it) (don't forget to tick the checkbox for local search only) https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/articles/209602909-Search#commands
  2. In resulting list add whatever filtering you need (suck as "only active", assignee, etc
  3. add this list to the dashboard of your choosing, use ... in the right-hand corner (you can only name it now you will not have this option later)
  4. .
  5. .
  6. PROFIT )

Lisa have you considered adding text filtering and other "less" documented but existing features (such as "following", "#notme", importance and other text searching filters to dashboard interface? Dynamic timeframe options would be cool too. Support of calculated filed based filters too )

Admin Bot - gave it a shot and it works well for tasks... not really seeing a way to limit the search to projects only. Even when filtering by "project status," it shows "0 results" because it is looking for tasks only.

Thoughts?

Hey Admin Bot! You probably know about this, but I'd thought I'd mention it here - you can add search results to a dashboard:

Hope this helps!

Hi Lisa! Is there a option to do the same widget functionality with projects? We have projects in multiple locations (Folders and Spaces) and we'd like to be able to display these into one widget?

Hi Scott Norris, thanks for reaching out!

This isn't currently possible for the projects' widget, so I'd recommend creating a separate Product Feedback suggestion for this 👍
