Where did the task IDs go?!

Just the other day I posted about how task IDs were hard to find. But they were in the task. Now:

 

Seriously, did you remove the ID field or is it only available in a certain view? It's the single most important field for a task tracker to track the ID of the task, and you hide it?!

Hi John,

Make sure you have Task ID set to On. 

Try this:

Enable Job Numbers

  1. Select a Folder or Project from the left-hand Navigation panel
  2. Switch to the Table View.
  3. Click on the gear icon in the top left corner. 
  4. Check the box next to “ID”. 

When you turn job numbers on for a Folder or Project, they are automatically visible on all tasks, subtasks, and subfolders within the Folder or Project. Repeat the process for any additional Folders/Projects that need job numbers.

A little odd but that works - I hadn't realised that gear icon turns those fields on/off I thought it just controlled their visibility in Table View.

Hi,

Thanks for the tips. In my case, the ids are visible in the table view, but not in each ticket. I tried to hide, unhide the id from the table view, but it didn't make them show up back.

 

What do you suggest to do?
