It would be very helpful for exporting purposes for the "description" field to be an option when viewing "table" view.
In addition, being able to export the Table View as a PDF would also be great.

Agree... table view suits project-by-project discussion much better, and a printable version would help (current we export to excel, then format, etc).
Indeed. Really miss that. Going in and out each task to see the description is not very convenient.
Ditto. We're using Wrike for both project plans and Action Item, Issue, and Risk logs. That way people can use a single tool to understand what their work is, regardless of project plan or action item or issue log. To review all open actions in a meeting requires a table view as it's absolutely painful to go into every single "task" just to understand the nature and whether we need to discuss it. The description field is key to understanding what any given action item means. Right now the only option is to do the following every week:
1) open the full table mega-dump view, and export into excel
2) Open Excel, re-sort the columns as we have a few important custom fields, hide all the unused fields
3) review in meeting. Make updates in Excel. Highlight any cell I change in yellow.
4) After meeting, PM (ie me) manually updates Wrike to reconcile by looking at the highlighted columns.
Not only does this take multiple hours, it delivers a negative public opinion about Wrike's inability to do something that should be simple. Please add this ability. Wrike is a phenomenal tool, very powerful for driving team productivity, and i'm even going to record a vlog on how it's my new favorite pm tool (and i've used them all). Alas this is a highly visible item, so it detracts from the experience.
BTW, i'm recording that vlog on Wrike for my April issue. I'm only an hour from the Wrike campus i think (east bay), I'll even drive down and buy you a beer if you can do this by 3/31 😀😀😀😀😀
Hi guys, thanks for your input here, the feedback is passed to our Product team. For now, I have no updates for this, but I'll get back to you when I have news. As a workaround, I'd suggest adding a Custom Field "Description" for projects and add any valuable info to this field. It then can be exported to XLS. I understand this is not ideal though; please let me know what you think 🙌

It'd be very helpful for us to have this feature as well as we're attempting to do the same thing. We want to have our teams track all of their action items in one place.

Am I right that there is no way to show Description field in Reports as well?

There is another Product Feedback thread in regards to description fields in Reports that you can add your vote to here and share your feedback. The Product team currently have no plans to add this to the short-term roadmap. If anything changes, I'll keep you posted.

Unfortunately this topic has not gotten any traction in 5 years.
We would like to use the table view to go through some issues etc. And the description would help when discussing instead of opening the card.
Creating a custom field to show this info would be extra work and prone to errors. It would be very helpful to show description within the table view.
