🌈Releases-Drag and drop, API, and the big picture (9/13/18)
Feature Updates
The more you know...drag and drop edition
It's easier to see when/if you're moving multiple Tasks via drag and drop when you're in the List View.
Easier to Drill Down on Calendars
If you're looking at the yearly or quarterly view on Calendars you can get a more granular view by clicking a quarter, month, or week from the top of the view.
New Login Page
Our login process is getting a little overhaul. Big picture: if you log in via SSO - your login page is the same as everyone else's, if you're part of multiple accounts - you'll select an account before logging in.
Shortcut on the New Table View
You can use the keyboard shortcut ctrl+c to copy a cell's content on the new Table View. On a Mac? Try cmd+C.
API v4
We're continuing the move towards API v4. No more generating v3 tokens, you'll need to generate v4 tokens instead. Don't worry: v3 tokens still work (for now), but it's time to start making the move.
Fixes
Sharing Custom Fields
If you edited a Custom Field from the new Table View, you could only share it with User Groups with less than 20 members. You can share with all teams now.
Thanks for the update! I will say that the new login page is a bit inconvenient for me. I have a personal account (free) which I rarely use and each time I open a new window (even if I am already working on my work account) it prompts me to choose an account. It would be nice to set a default account or select a "remember this option".
The update to allow copying cells in the new table view is great, but I can't seem to get it to work. I'm selecting a cell hitting ctrl + C then selecting the next cell and hitting ctrl + v but nothing is happening. I've double checked that my app is up to date and tried the app and on the web but no joy. Am I doing something wrong? Does it not work for custom fields?
Hey Kathryn, I agree, great feature, was a bit confused about this too.
It turns out that you can't paste into the cells yet but you can copy from them (ctrl+C).
If you double click on a cell and then press ctrl+V, you will paste the data in the cell.
I've actually made a feedback article you might want to like if you'd like to see the ctrl+V feature added? ;)

Hope that helps

I have the same issues as Kathryn. The copy-paste function in the New Table sounds fantastic (have been waiting for so long for this feature!!!). However, it doesn't seem to work.

Hi guys, glad to hear you're happy with the copy function outlined above 👐 In terms of using the shortcut to paste; you need to click the cell to change it to 'edit' mode and then paste or cmd+V.
So you can copy with cmd+C, however, to paste (cmd+V) you need to click on the cell to open it for edits. I can understand the benefits of not having to click into the cell, so this feedback is great for our Product Team to hear, thank you!
Hi Nicolas and Kathryn,
Any update on how you've been getting on with this?
Are you sure you've enabled the new table view and are using it as apposed to the old table view?
If the answer is yes, have you refreshed your page since the update came out (I know it's unlikely that you haven't but worth a try)?
Hope that helps somewhat if things aren't sorted already

Hi George,
Yes, new table view is active on my end. To be honest, I see this as an "incomplete feature". The expectation is that this would work as an excel spreadsheet: click on cell > copy content > select another cell > paste content. And in the best scenario, select multiple cells and paste content.
What we are getting is not far away from the old table, except that we now save ourselves the "double click" for selecting and copying a cell's content.
I think the effort your team is doing is going in the right direction. But I think the feature needs to mature a bit more before calling it a 'final feature' :-)
Best,
Nicolas

Hi George, sorry for the late reply. This has been working ok for me now that I know I need to click into the cell to paste. It would be quicker and easier if this step wasn't needed so if that were developed it'd be great. But it's a good step in the right direction.
Thanks,
Kat
