    Hi everyone,
    ย
Here is a list of the Q&A that was asked during our 5 Solutions for Managing Work session. If you have additional questions or thoughts, feel free to add them to this thread.
    ย
If I change the duration of a subtask, how do I get the parent task to automatically realign with the subtask's change in duration?
    • Whenever you change the subtask's durations like that, the system will suggest that you automatically align the new durations. For example, if your subtasks become longer in duration, the system asks if you want the parent task's duration to be extended as well.
Can we create forms in the Desktop App?
    • If you're an admin on your account, you should be able to create Request forms in the Desktop App.
When you use the checklist with recurring tasks, can you assign these individual tasks to specific people?
    • Sorry, this is not possible. A workaround you can implement would be writing each person's name next to their respective checklist item, and then @mentioning the group or adding everyone as assignees and @mentioning assignees.ย
If I want to create a recurring task to remind myself to email someone outside of Wrike, can I create a link to initiate opening a window for my email?
    • Yes, you can populate the recurrent task's description with all the needed information (ie. name of the recipient, email address, etc). If your email server allows you to create a link to open a window to create an email, feel free to paste that into the description field as well.
What's the best practice on when to adjust a missed due date? I want to capture actual duration for reporting purposes, but see value in leaving it overdue until completion to generate notifications on progress.
    • The solution we would recommend is 2-part:
    • 1.) You should adjust the task once you know that the work will actively begin, because the tasks should ideally reflect their "true" deadlines.
    • 2.) In conjunction with that, we recommend creating Dashboards to lend visibility to the important work that is happening rather than relying on notifications.
