[From Wrike] Item View Updates 🤩
Прикреплено ВыделеноHi everyone!
We hope you’re having an amazing week 🙂
Today, we’re very excited to share the latest updates for Wrike’s Item view.
But wait, what is Item view? It is a new, more simple name for what’s previously been known as ‘Work item view’. We hope that you like this shorter title! We’ll be changing our materials to reflect this small change shortly 👍
Item View - Latest Updates
The Item view gets a UI update based on the feedback we’ve been receiving from you. For example, we know that many of you preferred the time tracker to be more visible, and it now is 🙂
New Item View Settings Bar
The new settings bar
- Declutters the view
- Helps with navigating to sections by auto-scrolling to them and shows number of files and subitems on the top of the view
- Represents a visible section of item view for regular tasks, projects, folders and custom item types
- Helps to easily find time tracker and dependencies
- Removes approvals at the top if they are hidden in the Custom item types setting. But they will be if there’s an approval triggered by workflow automation
Fields Visibility in Item View
Here’s how system and custom fields will be shown:
- System and custom fields which you set as ‘hidden’ in Custom item types will no longer be shown in the Item view
- All system fields will be visible for regular tasks, projects and folders in the side panel
- ‘Hidden fields’ in the side panel will be renamed into ‘More fields’ and will show location-based and inherited fields (for both regular and custom items)
New Additions to the Item View
Apart from the UI changes, we have recently added the following features:
- Project progress
- Google Calendar and Zoom integrations
- Share button for projects & folders
- Add to Calendar
- Converting to milestone
- Printing tasks (project/folder coming later)
- Duplicating menu items (for project/folder item views)
- Saving items as blueprints
- Sending update by email (in the three-dot menu)
And here’s what will be added soon:
- Marking as complete by using a checkbox
- Enabling date rollups
- Slack integration
Our team will continue monitoring feedback and usage of the Item view. We are planning to bring more updates to the view, so please keep your feedback coming!
Availability
The Item’s view new look & feel, as well as new features, are already available if you are using Item view or Custom item types 🤗
We really hope you like these updates! Please share your feedback and reactions 👇

Great improvements! Really liked the better use of screen space :-)
Wow! I agree with Neyl Walecki, now I can activate lightspeed =)
This will really help our team move at lightspeed (or ludicrous speed - "Hey look - they've gone plaid!" )
How do i add custom fields to "More fields" now?
Before it was very inutitive and clear. Now i don't get it...
Thank you for your feedback, folks 🤩
Marco Eberl You can either change the custom item type your items are based on, or just add fields in the new Table view. Does this help?

Addding a field in the new table view does not work for me, still no custom field in the CIT.
Besides this, it's not intuitive at all to use the table view to add custom fields to CIT when there is a configuration panel for CIT where i can define the custom fields.
I like the other improvements, but that "improvement" would be worth to think about it again.
Hey Marco Eberl, I've raised a ticket with our Support team, they'll reach out to you about this soon 👍

Today the Location field is missing from our Wrike instance. What changed!? How do we easily tag things now? Please advise.
UPDATE: I found it, you moved it back to the top under the Title. That works.
Why do you keep moving things around?
I had the same issue as Cal Anderson. For whatever reason this change was hard to figure out. I don't know if I missed a post that explained it, or if I'm just blind. I had a hard time figuring out where my tasks were located.
Apologies for the confusion here, folks! We have announced this change in the latest Weekly release note. Please let us know your feedback about this update 🙂
