Calculate Custom Field that is a Number (single select)

I have a custom field of {single select}= {number} for "points" per project to help us determine the "size" of the project. How can I set the custom field of "points" to SUM, per Owner in a dashboard?

In the dashboard below the "points" (5, 7, 9) are grouped BUT the total "points" per PM are not summed.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi! I think the problem is the type of custom field (select).

If you use a number custom field it works.

Try to add sum as default aggregation in custom field settings
