Recurring Projects - How??

I can't be the only one struggling with this, so I'm curious what others are doing to manage recurring projects.

Many of our projects are repeated on an annual, monthly or quarterly basis (events, newsletters, etc.). Blueprints and Templates allow tasks to recur, but not projects. There has to be a way to do this, right? The only thing I can think of is to create a custom field for annual, monthly or quarterly recurrence, then build an automation to duplicate the project once it is complete. That would create a problem, though, as not every one of these would be saved to the right folder in our Active Projects space.

I'm curious to see if anyone has advice or a use case to share that may help. It's my third year going through and manually creating these recurrences and it's maddening spending an entire day+ setting up them up!

Appreciate any help/ideas. Thanks!

You could create them as Blueprints and duplicate them quarterly or monthly, whatever cadence you need them, but I don't know of a way to make them automatically recur. Will be following in case someone has figured out a way!

Hi Sara Davis, RaquelJ, currently, it's not possible to create recurring projects but you can create them from Blueprints as Raquel mentioned above. Additionally, you can create a recurring task as a reminder for the Blueprint launch might help organize things. There is a similar feedback post here - please feel free to add your upvote.

Any chance of this getting on a roadmap? Recurring projects are a big part of our work and we are struggling with keeping on a schedule without this feature.

I agree!! And have upvoted this. We have a number of recurring projects that happen and would love to automate these from a blueprint so that no one has to manually trigger them.

I would like to add my 2 cents in here. I've been hoping to figure out how to set up recurring tasks and projects myself for consent compliance administration.

I have created a blueprint for an annual project (recertification) with many subtasks and folders. I have then created an automation so that when the current project is marked complete, the next one is automatically created from the blueprint. So, we're halfway there. What I can't figure is, what will the new date of this automatically created project be?

This particular item has an annual due date, like many other items in the compliance space.

I'm guessing each time the new project is created, that I will need to reschedule manually. It would be nice to be able to automate that and create a rule for rescheduling such as "annual" or "monthly". It would also be nice to set the name prefix or suffix to "current year", so that would change based on the year it is scheduled to occur.

Otherwise, I'm a happy newbie so far.
