[Status: Backburner ⏳] Dashboard Widget Filter for Finish Date in Past 30 days
Hello!
We use Dashboards as a reporting tool for project statuses, and one of the widgets that is helpful for at-a-glance reporting is "Projects Completed in the Last 30 Days". Right now, we have to manually update the date range for this widget filter, and it would be helpful to have an option for "past 30 days" in addition to "this month" and "last month".
Being able to create any sort of rolling time frame would be excellent - it's an area that Wrike is lacking on. It would be great to not be restricted to a specific time frame but be able to create your own e.g last 5 days, last 30 days etc
Dawn Kirby Agreed - the preset "past 30 days" seems like a quick win, but the ability to create your own rolling time frame would be great.
In trying to set up a widget like this on our team overview dashboard so we could see all of our accomplishments over the past month, I set up a filter for projects w/ a finish date this month but it doesn't seem to behaving the way I intended as a "projects completed in the past month". I think that it isn't actually pulling up projects that were marked as completed this month but projects that are marked as completed with a deadline in this month (I suspect leaving out projects w/o set start/finish dates or projects completed early w/ a deadline set in a future month). I don't see a filter for "completed date" in the options though I can see that data as a column in the table view. Sarah, How did you set yours up and is it working as you expected it to?

Hey everyone, apologies for the delay in response here.
A quick update - the Product team is really interested in implementing this suggestion into Wrike, but due to other priorities, there are no plans to add this to the short-term roadmap. I'll be sure to keep you posted on any further updates in relation to this idea.
If you need anything else, let me know.
This is a great idea. Not only does it need to be a variable timeframe (past 30 days where both 30 and days are configurable) but the date column needs to be configurable. I am currently interested in tracking tasks that have been last modified in the past 30 days. Tomorrow I might need visibility to tasks created in the past 10 days, or completed in the past 5 days. Others (like Sarah and Katie) want to filter by a date on the project/folder. I'm glad to hear "the product team is really interested in implementing this." But please don't make us wait until 2023. Also, I imagine a filter by system dates (created, last modified) is easier than filtering by status dates (since statuses are configurable). If adding a filter by system dates is easy and filtering by status dates is more involved then please split the request in half and do the easy part soon.
Welcome to the Community David Christy! 🤗 Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback here, passing it on to the team now 👍

I have been hoping for the addition of this filter for several years. This type of filter is so common in apps. It can't be that difficult to add.
I agree David Christy I would actually have use for it at both Project and Task level were it to be that customizable. Project level was just my first encounter with needing the feature.
Thank you for your feedback Tony Foster, Katie Wilborn! Please make sure to upvote the suggestion too. We'll be able to add a Product Status here once we get to the 60 upvotes 👍

Noting that it would also be helpful to include 30 days prior on reports as well as a Change Log for recent activity.
Hi there, isn't this already on the roadmap for Q2 or Q3 2023?
I find it mind-blowing that the option to filter tasks by a rolling 30-day period is missing, as it seems like an essential feature, in my opinion. Moreover, it's disappointing that the Dashboard widgets don't allow sorting 'Date' in both ascending and descending order, making it difficult to view the most recent tasks when dealing with a long list. All very frustrating!
Hi folks, thank you for your continued feedback here!
I've checked with our team internally - they would love to be able to work on this one in the future, but for now, such filter is not planned due to other priorities. We'll continue reporting on your feedback here and we'll let you know if there are any changes in the future.

This feature is just a modified version of other filters that already exist. I find it hard to believe that it would take any serious time for Wrike to add, certainly not years. The potential use case is very clear to us for anyone that oversees work and the activity of a team. The field already exists and data is there.
