Folllowing List for Post: Wrike Templates - How do I get them?
[this list is visible for admins and agents only]
Hey Marj 🙂
Account owners and admins on Business and Enterprise accounts and account owners on Professional accounts can access the Onboarding Templates gallery. There are two ways you can access them:
A.
B.
Access them through Wrike Assistant (again, the Templates are available here for Account owners and admins on Business and Enterprise accounts and account owners on Professional accounts):
Hope this helps 👐

@Lisa. I've been a Wrike user for over 2 years, and never noticed that option! There it is, right in front of me!
Thank you!
Happy to help, @Marj 🙂

I'm a new free user and I do not see the templates! All I see are space templates on the main page. I went on the website and saw you offer an event planning template, entered my email address .... NOTHING! How do I get the event planning template?
Hi IFMA Greater Toronto & South Central Ontario, thank you for reaching out. Templates are available from the Space creation window, however, the Event Planning (Event Management) template is supported from Professional accounts only because it includes a preconfigured Dashboard:
There are several templates that you can test on the Free version though, please check the list below:
I hope it helps. If you would like to have a trial period of our paid subscriptions, please do not hesitate to let us know 🙌

How can I use a template if I already have a Space setup?
Welcome to the Community Will Rainbow 👋
It should be possible to create a new space from a template and then tag certain or all elements to an existing space 🙂

Are there project templates that our users can still use that don't create a whole new space? Like at the top of this thread from 2019?
Hi Meghan, not at the moment, but we've let our team know about this feedback about use case templates creating a separate space.

I have a Professional subscription, but I don't seem to have the 'add template' option in either spot you mentioned. I do have access to the free templates when I create a space...any idea what might be the issue?
Hi Jessica LeClair, welcome to Wrike's Community 👋
Currently, templates are available in the Space creation dialogue, and the number and the type of templates you see there are corresponding to the subscription type. The info at the beginning of this thread about adding items from templates is outdated, so thanks a lot for bringing this up!

Hmm. That's the second feature I've encountered that has kind of seemed like a bait and switch. The pitch is 'you get templates!' But then I buy a subscription and find out, 'well, you only get some templates. Getting all the templates will cost twice as much (I think...it's still not clear to me even after reviewing the plans and pricing as to which tier I would need to get access to the rest of the templates).
Jessica LeClair Apologies for this confusion! It has to do with the pre-built tools included in the templates. For example, Wrike Reports are available on subscriptions starting with Business and higher. Therefore, a template that has pre-built reports in it can't be available to users on the Professional subscription. Hope this makes sense!

I dont understand why we have to create a new space for a template. Seems like a bit of a waste to create a space just because you want a specific template, and then to delete the space once you have tagged into the space you actually use.
Hi Nicole Baker, welcome to the Community and thank you for sharing your feedback, I'm passing it on the Product team.
Hi, when we right-click on a project or folder, we're not able to see "templates". See attached screenshot
Hi Carlo Dalessandro, you can access templates from the Space creation window please see the comment from Lisa K above for more details. Let me know if you need any additional help please🙋🏻♀️
So I'm in the Space creation window and it seems that not all of these Templates (https://www.wrike.com/templates/) are in there. For instance, I'm looking for this one:

Is this theoretically the same as Work Templates - or is that something different? I'm trying to leverage the OKR space template, but it's telling me to look for Work Templates which don't seem to exist?
Hi Whitney Norton, apologies if you're finding the wording here confusing. Can you confirm exactly where you're seeing this? Is the template addressing your needs?

Having the project templates be in the place you go to create a new space makes zero sense from a user perspective. It took me 20 minutes to figure this out by finding this thread from 2019. If I go to the templates page in Wrike it just says to try this template by typing my email, and then it just goes to my Wrike blueprints page and the template that I selected is not there. This needs to be on the blueprints page or in the main sidebar!
Elaine the instructions/screenshots from Lisa on Au
I'm in the OKR template, and inside the template it tells me to leverage other templates that I can't find... I would love to "Make sure [I'm] using "Work Templates" for Objective, Key Results, and Deliverables" but I don't see those anywhere...
Hi Whitney Norton , thank you for your reply. As described in Lisa's comment, templates are available in the Space creation window. In case you don't see it listed in this section, it might be possible that this particular template is not included in your subscription.
Nicole S, thank you for your feedback, I understand that this procedure could have caused some confusion and I have shared your comment with our dedicated team 👍
@... we're on pinnacle, I don't think there's anything we don't have. It might just be that the OKR template includes old references to things that no longer exist? Might be worth a look from whoever owns those templates on the Wrike side.
Thank you very much for your reply Whitney Norton, I'll bring this case to our dedicated team 👍
To echo other comments, it seems weird to only be able to use a template when creating a new space. Especially when using the RAID template. Each project has a RAID. I'm going to end up with either a) one space that holds multiple RAIDS that I don't want everyone have access to, or b) multiple RAID spaces.
Hi Ginger Nasser, thank you for your comment. An alternative would be to create the Space using the template, then move all the relevant items with their corresponding structure to a project, and then save the project as a blueprint, that you will be able to use to create projects with this structure.
Would that be an option for you?
Maybe you should provide those features as explained instead of providing workarounds? How about just implement the context menu, so that the customer is able to use those wrike templates that you are advertising on your homepage.
I am using the german version of wrike but as you can see, there is no entry in the context menu wether folder, space or projekt.
Hello Marc Lewandowski, welcome to the Community. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, I'm sorry to hear this has caused some confusion in your team. As stated previously, the templates are available in the Space builder and that is their main purpose is to help users create new Spaces, however, I understand it would be useful to access them in the context creation menu of your workspace.
At the moment, you can achieve this by following one of the workarounds we shared in this thread. Please, rest assured that we're passing all your comments on to our Product Team and we will let you know if there are any improvements 👍
