[Status: Backburner ⏳] Outlook Calendar Integration

Is there a way to sync your outlook calendar with a task? eg. A discovery meeting for a client is set up in outlook, but I would also like it to link to a task for the day. This way notes and attachments can be added in Wrike, but the client will only see it in outlook.

Hey Donatas Zaleckis, apologies for the delay in updating here.

There are currently no plans to add this suggestion to the short-term roadmap. If there are any changes, I'll be sure to let you know!

Would like to add my vote for an integration with Outlook calendars. We are struggling to get our employees to use Wrike at all, and I know that if it were further integrated into Outlook they would be more likely to use it. We rely heavily on calendar view for planning purposes.

I agree with Amy. Our team has been facilitating many virtual workshops and coaching sessions scheduled via Outlook (and our current Calendly-Outlook integration). The integration between Outlook Calendar and Wrike would really help our organization to track time, meeting notes, and follow up tasks (potentially engaging more external users/collaborators as well).

Since our client engagements and meetings (bulk of our projects) must be managed (scheduled) separately in Outlook calendar, our teams defer to looking back at their calendars for providing weekly reports (updates on our work each week) and time reporting for payroll. It gets to be a struggle to reconcile all this information back to projects.

The Wrike-Outlook Calendar integration would really increase our efficiency, especially if it were two way. As I mentioned, Calendly is a tool that we use to help us schedule meetings with multiple clients, especially during a time of virtual meeting necessity such as this. Since Calendly works by adding meetings to our Outlook Calendar, a one way integration from Wrike to Outlook calendar wouldn't be ideal (as I understand the current Google calendar integration to be).

Additional note: Currently, Microsoft Planner is integrating with Outlook calendar and is causing our organization to shift it's focus away from Wrike. While I know Planner doesn't compare to Wrike in terms of functionality, as Amy mentioned, we have been struggling with user adoption without the calendar integration - so the tool won't necessarily be missed by general users (majority).

Just throwing another log on this fire.  Without Outlook calendar integration, we are constantly double-entering tasks and hoping that we don't miss any...   enter them and update them in Wrike, then cross-referencing Outlook calendar to ensure the time is blocked off.

As amazing as Wrike is with task and project management, I feel like this omission is a huge functional gap.

We've been using Wrike since February and it's great for those in the Marketing team that use it day in and day out, but even then the lack of Teams / Outlook Calendar integration is a pain. For those that are occasional users that we need to collaborate with, we just don't bother with Wrike. The chances are, if we come across another tool that has even a basic integration and the price is similar to what we're paying now, we'll jump ship.

I have been using Wrike for 3 months now and love it!  I'm still learning a lot and developing it to our company's needs...and with that doing a lot of searching for the right solutions.  With that being said, I strongly believe having the ability to sync appointments between MS Outllook calendars and Wrike calendars would be a tremendous help!!!

We want ALL availability/demands visible in a central location (project schedules, task deadlines, vacation time, remote-work time, all meetings for all individuals.)   I'm trying to train our office to go by the mindset of "If it's not in Wrike, it doesn't exist!" But the truth is MS Outlook is were invites are exchanged/accepted (especially with external correspondences)...and in Outlook you can specify the time frame not just the day(s). I am not aware of being able to specify the time frame in Wrike.

I recently set-up form requests in Wrike for vacation and remote-work (which work very seamlessly) but now my challenge is I can't see when team members are not available due to meeting--- unless I cross-reference to the Outlook calendar or duplicate efforts by putting information in both calendars.  This is wasted efforts and leaves things at risk of human error!

Please consider the versatile benefits connecting MS Outlook calendars with Wrike calendars would offer to the Wrike community!!

How are we supposed to live in Wrike without a calendar integration?

This is really disappointing.  I've been using Wrike for a few months.....and there are many features that I really like.....but no Outlook calendar integration is forcing me to drop it altogether.  I used to "time block" all of my tasks in my Outlook calendar until I moved over to Wrike.  I pretty much never missed anything and it organized my life very well.  Anyway, I've used the Google Calendar integration function but it creates an extra step (you have to manually assign each task to the Google Calendar and sometimes I forget so it falls off my radar)....making it not so desirable.  I've tried to change my workflow to make it work but I still keep missing things.

It's possible I'm not aware of some Wrike functionality that would help me accomplish time blocking as I used to in Outlook.

Since reading, "Deep Work" by Cal Newport the idea of "time blocking" has changed everything for me.  Anyway, I love Wrike in so many ways.....if I knew they would be adding this soon I probably wouldn't drop it.

I'm with Jonathan Hughes on this. As soon as we find another tool that has a Teams / Outlook calendar integration we'll most likely move or Wrike will be just 'a' tool we use rather than 'the' tool.

A note to Wrike - the jump in costs from Pro to Business is a ~2.5x increase. In principle, I really want more people in the business to use Wrike (e.g. a lot more than 15), but the lack of calendar integration and the jump in costs means it will never happen.

I too would like to add a request for a Wrike - Outlook Calendar integration.

As others have said, a lack of integration such as this leads to duplication of work.

This would be very helpful.

Why: Single point to view tasks and events

Issues: Looking at the calendar integration there is a lot to consider. Microsoft's integration with Outlook, Teams/Chats, Sharepoint / Onedrive is increasingly becoming more linked.

Fields in Outlook are different to Wrike

There is a lot to discuss here, but one major issue would be:

OVERVIEW Microsoft links

Users: Office 365 User, Team Chats, Onedrive and Outlook

Groups: Office 365 Groups, Team Channels, Sharepoint and Outlook

The point is your calendar integration would need to take care of this.

Project calendar needs to link to an Office 365 group. The O365 group has a calendar

Personal calendar needs to link to an Office 365 user. The O365 user has a calendar

So you would need a calendar integration for each one of the above

I 100% agree with Duncan's outline above. Additionally, I am attempting to convince all our teams to use Wrike for On Call Rotation tracking. It would be incredibly beneficial to have it all in one spot. The ability to link that On Call Folder in Wrike to Outlook would go a long way in selling this to the team.

I concur that linking to Outlook would be beneficial. Working two separate calendars can be tedious.  To be able to link the calendars would allow us to see project deadlines along with our other appointments, meetings, trainings, etc. without switching between the two.  If we want to focus on the details of a particular project, we can refer back to the Wrike calendar, but the deadlines would show up along with our daily tasks.

Outlook integration would be ideal as it would increase efficiencies across multiple projects as well aid in Wrike being an all in one solution.
