Allow for conditional branching on multi-select custom fields in forms
I know we have multi-select custom fields. And I know that we can use these in forms. However, my team ends up having to create many custom fields - because we need conditional branching - and noticed we cannot use conditional branching with multi-select custom fields in forms.
Is this something that can be added to Wrike functionality?
Here is an example of what I'm thinking.
Question: What type of pizza do you want?
(Multi-select checkbox custom fields)
- Pineapple
- Ham
- Cheese
But then - if someone selects Cheese - there is conditional branching, bringing them to another page/set of questions related to what type of cheese they want.
This means "Cheese" would populate the multi-select custom field, but the user would still be able to provide more information/answer more questions.
We could really do with this functionality too. I'm using conditional branching on single-select drop-downs, but it's much more lengthy and complicated to try and make work for our needs, compared to what we'd be able to do with multi-select conditional branching. Thanks.
Exactly! And it makes reporting a true nightmare, as we end up needing to create tons of custom fields as a workaround to not having the conditional branching.
100%. We can't use critical multi-select fields because there are too many values to place in the form with the current form functionality.
Thank you for supporting here Nich Adam!

Yes, I agree this would be a really helpful feature
Thank you for adding your support here Harald Kurz!
I would like to be able to have something similar to this to help with bug tracking/reporting. The user selects first a category of bug then is prompted to select a more detailed option. I would want to be able to report on both the higher level category and the detail category. We tried putting the high level and detail in two different custom fields, but there was not a way to limit/restrict the options in the detail field to align with the categoy.
Hi David J Pierce, thank you for chiming in and sharing your use case. I've passed it on to our Product team👍🏼
Is there an update from the product team on adding: conditional branching on multi-select custom fields? I see this was first raised 1+ year ago, thanks!

We could also use this feature. We're a product team that manages 40+ products across 5 product managers and some of our multiselect fields have 40 options unless we want to create a separate space or folder for each product manager with a custom field in each with just their products. We'd then have to remember to include 5 custom fields in our reporting. It's definitely something we can create work arounds for but it'd be nice just to have a custom field to select the team member and only pick from their products.
