Are You Using the RICE Scoring Model? 🍚

Afixado Em destaque

Hi everyone 🙂

We have another request from one of our customers who would like to chat with other Wrike users about the RICE scoring model.

Wait, but what is RICE?

The RICE scoring model is a prioritization framework designed to help product managers and other professionals determine which products, features, and other initiatives to put on their roadmaps by scoring these items according to four factors. RICE stands for Reach, Impact, Confidence, and Effort.

Are you using this scoring method in your work?

If you are, please let us know below. We may then reach out to you in private to arrange a sync with other Wrike users.

And if you ever have a need to discuss particular processes with other Wrike users, please let us know as well, we’d love to help and connect you with other users 👇

We don't use this method often, but love reading up on this to learn more and see how other companies are using RICE!

We don't use RICE as well.

For everyone here that wants to know more, there's an article in the Wrike Blog about it:

I would also be interested in learning more about this methodology! I've been looking at how to apply it to our intake process for the Creative team and beyond.

I've never heard of this, but checking out the blog as we are still looking for a prioritization method that works for us and is sustainable to continue using (not too much overhead... keep it simple!).

Thanks, Neyl Walecki!

Good article, I really appreciated the section about where it would be most useful and where it would be less practical.

I've used a couple of similar prioritizing methods using Likert scales. I built one in Wrike using just Impact and Effort. We got away from the prioritizing scale as Wrike did better with dates, but the team can use it to help distinguish between similar projects. The other place I've used this is in risk prioritization (Severity and Effort), this was a simplified version of the FMEA risk ranking (Severity, Occurrence, and Detection).

Feel free to contact me if you'd like to discuss more.
