Inbox notification when someone comments on a proof that I upload

It would be great when a member upload a proof, get comments from other members, and those comments will come to the inbox even without the name being tagged. I only get desktop pop-up notifications when someone comments on my proof, if I am away from my desk, I lose all the comments without knowing their existences.

This would be great for our team too! We have designers working through so many jobs it would be difficult for them to keep checking through all their jobs for any comments. A notification when comments are left on proofs would be perfect for us.

Hi Ceci, Holly, thanks for posting your ideas on the Community! Here’s how it works now: a review creator receives Inbox notifications when one of the reviewers adds a Proofing comment to a file. For example, if a designer uploads the image and assigns their manager to review it, the designer will receive an Inbox notification when the manager adds a Proofing comment to the image. If any other person (not one of the file reviewers) adds a comment to the file, or if anyone comments on a task itself - as opposed to commenting on a file - Inbox notification won’t be sent. Does it make sense? Let me know if you would also like to receive Inbox notifications about comments added to tasks where files in review are attached. I’ll be looking forward to your reply!

Hi Anna, This isn't how it works on my system. I add files for review but get no inbox alerts when reviewers add comments. Many comments are being missed for this reason. Seems to be a major flaw. Thanks

@Chris, we must have missed this comment. Have you checked the inbox setting in your Profile setting?

If this is still happening, please let me know or reach out to our Support team who can help investigate.

@Jamie, the team are thinking through some ideas to help people like yourself. I have read your comments on the linked post, and I'm waiting on some further info from the Product Team to update you there on any progress in that direction 👍

It appears that only the user that originally uploads a doc for review gets notified of any feedback. So designer 'A' uploads a first review, two weeks later comments come back on that review doc but I have to assign designer 'B' because 'A' is busy or on leave. Designer 'B' uploads a second review but never sees review comments as they all go to designer 'A'!

Incidentally I don't have any inbox settings under profile settings.

our designers (unless specifically @tagged) dont get any notices that a comment has been made on their document. I understand the @ tag is second nature to some, but others its not and we are experiencing delays with comments being missed.
