Automatic "nag" emails that can't be disabled by the assignee.
I would like to know if there is a way to send custom "nag" emails out automatically to assignee's the day before a task is due and on the due date (they would say different things). I don't want the assignee to be able to disable getting them from their Wrike setting email preferences.
Jeanine Lore You might be able to do this with Automation - create a rule that @mentions the assignee, and it will send them a push notification reminder. However, the rule logic is limited to "if the task status hasn't been updated in x days", rather than a preferred day before/day of a due date, so you'd have to set it up based on how long they have to complete the task.
Also, if you go this route, please name the rule "Secretary of Nagriculture" from Bob's Burgers.
Thank you for the info Carolanne, I didn't have access to this but I do now 🙂. I took a look and found that it wouldn't work for what I am looking for since the only option I am seeing is "If the task doesn't change". The amount of time they get to complete tasks varies. It depends on what it is I am wanting them to review, how urgent it is and what time of day I start the task. I.e. if I start in the morning they get 3 days to review, if I start it after 12:00 PM they get 4 days. I don't count the partial day in that case.
Hi Jeanine Lore, thank you for posting! As Carolanne Mak mentioned above, at the moment, the automation engine is the closest workaround that we can offer. I do understand your use case doesn't completely match with the solution, so if you'd like please create a Product feedback post 🙋🏻♀️
