Duplicate [Status: Backburner ⏳] Inbox notifications for comments without @mentioning me or my group

Our company has 10 active users on Wrike with 25 that rarely use it. We struggle with nonexperienced users leaving messages without @ someone. Those messages are being missed by active users and can be important. I was hoping for a setting to get notified on all messages of a task I was following.

I second this request / surprise.

I'm a hard-core user of Wrike - so I need to live in its native "Inbox" and not get emails about every little action - but I need to know about actions, like new comments, on tasks I'm involved with.

I really expected the settings for the 2 types of notifications to be the same (or at least similar), but they're not.

If I'm reading this correctly: https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/articles/210323705-Inbox  ... I get no control over what comes into my Wrike Inbox.

And the list of "You receive Inbox notifications when..." doesn't include the addition of "Comments without @mentioning me" for tasks I follow or are assigned to me - the ones I'm involved with and really need a notice about when someone responds to me there!

I really like the Inbox but need more control over it (so I can work there, and there alone, and continue to ignore emails).

Despite all of its tools (Dashboards, Reports, My Work, Inbox...) I'm struggling to find the right balance of knowing what's happened (that I care about out of 50 users doing stuff) and what work I'll do next (out of my 217 tasks). 😩

Moving all notifications, according to my preferences, out of email would really help with the first of those issues:

New user here.  This is really frustrating.  Teaching the team to @mention with every message is tedious, and we have already had real problems with missed notifications.

Whenever someone replies to an @mention, they should not have to @mention for me to be notified. This causes a bottleneck, as I have to constantly go back and check to see if something was reviewed and if there's comments, in case the viewers forgot to @mention me. We moved to a project management system to take work out of the "in box".  Let's go Wrike and fix this!!

I agree there should be more options focused around what to receive in the Wrike inbox instead of only by email.

This was also one of my bigges wishes to Wrike. Please make the Wrike Inbox at least as configurable as the email notification, or even mor flexible.

Additionally to the email optioins I miss this features:

- Notify me If a new task is generated in a folder where I choose "follow all tasks".

- Notify me if the description field or user defined fields of a task I am following have changed.

We choose Wrike to get rid of email notifications, so please make it possible!!!

I agree that this is really frustrating... At the moment I'm just testing Wrike but already see that this can be issue which turn me into looking for more suitable solution. I even did a small test: added a guest, sent them notification and told them to remember to mention me in their returning e-mail and guess what? I didn't get any notification in my Inbox...

PLEASE, make it work already

I concur that the same level of control that exists for email notifications should be how the Wrike Inbox works.

Desktop notifications are great, but since there is no trace of them once they've disappeared it does cause us to miss important replies if we've stepped away from the work station.

Please address this Wrike!

I also second, third, fifth, and 100th this request.  I am really trying to get our users to stop using email to manage work and have recently disabled all email notifications.  WE ARE USING WRIKE TO GET PEOPLE TO STOP USING EMAIL INTERNALLY.  So having to keep the tick box when someone comments on a task they assignee gets an email is super frustrating and annoying.

I would suggest that all the email criteria would also be a notification setting for the Wrike inbox.  PLEASE PLEASE make this change...

Yes, yes, yes to what Mark McLaughlin "YELLED" 😉

Wrike is an alternative to sad attempts at task management in email - and it fails at that if it relies on email for any notifications!!

I don't understand why this really fundamental capability - and MAJOR BLOCKER OF ADOPTION - has not been addressed.

User Adoption = Revenue to you, Wrike. Even if you don't care about frustrating we users, How is $$ not Motivational??

We have several users at our org who would like to have fewer emails and more notifications in their Wrike Inbox. @... Can you find out for us if this is a feature that will be released soon?

Instead of "Email Preferences" there should be "Wrike in-box preferences".  A project management system should be all inclusive and take work out of email. Communication and project status should be all inclusive with-in the system. I'd love to come to work for a day and not look at my emails, and still stay on top of the 100's of tasks that need to be done!

Adding another voice here. I get too much email as-is, and things get missed. I got lucky and saw some project-related comments come through my email the other day, but had I not I wouldn't have seen relevant updates/approvals on tasks I'm involved in. No time to manually dig through my Wrike projects to see where things are.

The Stream feature accomplishes some of what I would want to see, however I'd prefer comments to appear in my inbox with the ability to filter.

Another upvote. Many of our users have turned off Wrike email notifications completely because they don't want to use email and feel like they're getting spammed, even when they adjust which notifications they receive. But this means tasks/comments can often fall through the cracks, requiring manual follow-up/intervention.

In the meantime, we've come up with a workaround via Wrike Integrate, where we detect certain task changes/comments and send a Slack direct message to the task author. That helps for some of the cases where we can identify specific triggers that should fire off the Slack notification.

I haven't found any way to generate a Wrike Inbox message via Wrike Integrate, though, which is why we're using Slack message instead. It would be great to have an API call that would allow us to generate custom Inbox messages in Wrike.

There is another post that is asking for the same thing. https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115003448025-More-Inbox-notification-options-within-Wrike

Can we please get this added to the planned feature improvements?

This is a real bugbear of mine. I would like the notification purely through Wrike instead of through emails

At least then i am aware something has been changed through the notification from my Wrike inbox.

Another voice for this.

The Wrike inbox should be at least as configurable as email, if not more.

Hey everyone, thank you for all of your feedback. I've marked this thread as a Duplicate of this thread and given it the same status, which is Backburner. Our Product team is planning on enhancing notifications soon, but we don't have an ETA for this at the moment.

We would love to be able to implement all suggestions on the Community as soon as they come, but there are several reasons why this is not the case. You can read more about the Product Feedback process here.

If you have any questions, let me know!

Although this feature is still missing - I am very exited that wrike rolled out a new feature recently. If you type a comment without @mentioning anybody, you'll be asked to add an @metion.

This is awesome! Thank you som much for this improvement!!! 🤗
