Ability to Automagically Remove Files (and users?) From Review
Hello there! 👊
I would like to see a timer to automatically remove a file from Review after a certain period of time, or after a specific Status change. For example, if I change a Task status to something in the "On Hold" or "Complete" category, any files currently flagged as "in review" would be removed. Additionally, at least for my purposes, if that could also "zero out" the prior reviewers, I can add new reviewers from scratch.
Basically, we use Wrike, Status updates, and Review assignments to mimic our old physical/print-out routing method. We assign one reviewer to a file at a time, where they make their comments/notes, and then add the next person in order (and update the status accordingly) until every party has reviewed and made notes/comments on a file. At the end of review, we end up with ~4-5 users tagged in, so it would be nice to be able to remove everyone more easily/automatically when the next review begins. (We upload new files for review each time, vs. uploading a new "version" of the original, to keep things more readily available for comparison and back-checking.)
Let me know what you think, and feel free to comment any feedback or upvote if this is something that you'd also find useful!

Hey Kyle 👊
Thanks for the post, sounds like a cool idea.
It seems like removal would be dependent on the kind of task you're working on i.e. you might not want it automagically remove docs for certain statuses all the time so perhaps this would be an optional feature you could set up as part of a Custom Workflow?
What do you think?
Thanks, Stephen! 👊
I think having this as part of a Custom Workflow would be cool; we currently have a Workflow Status for each "step" of our review/routing process (basically a Status for each team member/department that could have a hand in reviewing a design, doc, etc.).
I saw in the Workflow Report feature that it can track when statuses change from one status to another, so I'm also wondering if we could trigger it on a change from Status X to Status Y (for example, if it changes from "Routing: Account," the last step/Status in our routing process, to "Needs Changes," it could trigger removing any files from review and removing tagged reviewers). Or, we could create a new workflow status to use to trigger this functionality.
Not sure if ours is a custom case or if others use Workflows and Statuses in Wrike to route files one user at a time, but I'm sure there would be other use cases for triggering a Review State change on Status changes. 🤔
Hi Kyle, it's an interesting idea and sort of a complex one too in terms of it's implementation. It'll need to come with some detailed 'controls' I feel as some Wrike accounts would not like this as a default (i.e. removing people from reviewing at certain Statuses/stages) but automating processes in Wrike is something our Product Team is always looking to hear more of so this is great to see!
It's early stages, and you've likely seen auto-assign based on Status feature which is a step in your direction, but it's just the beginning!
I'll be sure to bring it the the attention of the Product Team and report back if and when I have some new information.
