How to keep images from being stripped in email

We frequently email conversations with images to our Wrike tasks. However, when viewing the forwarded email in the Wrike project or task, the images and formatting is stripped. Any way to prevent this?

Hi Elizabeth, the image attachment should be showing in the Wrike task. Are you forwarding the email to wrike@wrike.com? If so, once the image is an attachment and not a 'pasted' file in the body of the email this method should be working. See here for more on adding attachments via email integrations.

Can I also get a little more information about the changes in the format so I can better understand what you're seeing or not seeing in the resulting Wrike task?

If you can get back to me here with this information I can look into this for you. Thanks!

Hi Stephen,

I forward emails with images directly to an existing task using the PermaLink provided under To email changes to this task, use:

To make sure I understand, if an image is just embedded in a forwarded email into Wrike, the images will be stripped?  The only way to include them is if they are actual attachments?

If that is true, is there any plan to correct that in the future?  Many of our emails have the images embedded because they correspond directly to the content of the email.

Thank you

Hi Wrike team,

Any progress on this topic?

We lose frequently important information because the embedded images from the email are not visible in task.

This is a big disadvantage which make it unuseful to forward mails to tasks...

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Hi Pieter Dendauw, and welcome to the Community.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback here. It's been passed on to the Product team. At the moment, there are no plans to implement this suggestion into Wrike, but if anything changes, I'll be sure to let you know.

Have you tried adding the images as an attachment to the email itself? These images wouldn't appear in the task description like in the email, but they would be in the task in the attachments section.

Let me know if this helped. If you need any more assistance, feel free to reach out at any time.

We are having the same issue. Trying to get images in emails to show when we create a task out of the email using the WRIKE add in from Outlook. All images are stripped, even when the email with the images is attached to the email instead of just in the body.
