- Automation -ย Auto-Assign to Author, User Group or to User Who Triggered the Rule ๐ค
We're thrilled to introduce three new options to our Change assignee automation action:

- Assign to Item Creator: Handy for when the item creator's involvement is needed in the process. A common usage scenario could be when a request status changes to 'Review required', and the item creator needs to be automatically assigned.

- Assign to user who triggered the rule: Time-saving rule that auto-assigns a ticket, request or task to the person who makes a specific change to the item and triggers the rule. For example, the user who changes the status of the task, will be assigned to it.

- Assign to users from a group: you can select a user group to assign the item to each person added to it. This can be a game-changer when you want a task to be worked on by a whole team. This option can serve as a workaround when needing to assign an item to the users of a group!ย Please note that the task will not be assigned individually to the group itself but to every user who's part of that group. Also, currently, only groups with 25 individuals or less are eligible for the rule. Find more info in this Community post.

- New Dashboards - Public Links Now Available ๐
You can now share New Dashboards via public links! These links are time-boxed, and password-protectable, with usage tracked and managed in the admin console. They're perfect for sharing key insights, KPIs, and overviews with colleagues who donโt have a Wrike account yet.ย

- Filters - AI Filters in Wrike Labs! ๐
You can now filter Table and Board views using natural language commands with AI Filters. This feature is especially handy for accessing information, setting up filters, and locating items within projects/folders quickly, particularly for large items with a significant number of subitems.ย

I'm playing around with the automations. I have a rule that creates a subtask, can I use the new automation features to auto-assign it to the user who triggered the automation?
I love the idea of public links. We have request forms that are filled in by both internal and external people. I want to be able to share the project information/details page so they can see the request form they filled out and then look to that project for any status updates. Is this possible? The table view or dashboard doesn't help as they can't see any of the information related to the request.ย
Hey Mike Fank! Alina from Automation here. New capabilities will apply to any item. For example, if you have a rule 'when item is created > assign to person who triggered the rule', it will assign such item to the creator regardless of whether or not it is a subtask. However if there are more intricate requirements behind the process, please let us know so that we comment and help you with specifics :)ย

Alina Kucherenko - I'm creating a subitem from a blueprint, and I want to assign that subitem to the person who completed the task.
I tried creating a 2nd automation that triggers when the subitem is created to assign the newly created subitem to the person who triggered the rule. However, this isn't working, and I'm guessing its because the 2nd rule is triggered by an automation and there isn't a user to assign the task to.
Am I able to update the assignee of a subitem based on who completes the parent task?
Mike Fank Hey! Yes, I believe you are correct: since the second rule is expected to be triggered by the. first one, unfortunately it is currently not possible.
Regarding your question on assigning a subitem based on parent task โ no, unfortunately it's not possible today.ย

Hi Mike Fank, yes, you can automatically assign the task to the user who changed the status of the task. In the "Change assignee" action you need to select the "User who triggered the rule" option:

The "assign user" automation to assign new items to someone who triggers a given rule does not work if the item is created by an automation (bc the author of that new item is populated with "Wrike bot"). I really need the rules to also allow us to assign new tasks/projects generated by automation rules to the actual USER who triggers those automations.ย
