Utilization of the "Pinned" Folders & Projects - still possible?
Hi all,
is it still possible to utilize the pinned Projects & Folders for anything else, but a shortcut?
Pre-Lighspeed we could use it just as a regular folder/project like it would be in the space list, meaning we could drag & drop tasks/projects, create new items via the context menu, etc.
Now with lightspeed it is just a shortcut to get to the desired folder - or at least we haven't found the right setting/trick to enable it?
Hi Ralph Hirle! At the moment, it indeed works as a navigation panel to quickly access your most important work. Could you please share more details of how you used the section with the classic sidebar?

Hi! I have an odd behavior happening to one of my users with pinned projects. LMK if it's better to start a new thread rather than "pinning" my question on here!
Instead of showing the name of the project on anything she pins in a shared space, it just shows the word "List" (I'm assuming it's because she's viewing in List view). Is this a bug, or are we missing a setting somewhere? see the attached image for reference. TIA!
Steve Mruskovic that's because she pinned the view and not the project :) You can pin special views as shortcuts, if you don't use the standard view. (E.g. I have a client's folder with multiple table views for reportings - yet neither of them are the standard working view)
Lisa Thanks for asking! We can not move tasks per drag & drop in pinned folders, can't create anything in them via right-click, etc. No features are availble, unless you scroll down to the regular space view and then scroll down to the folder/project you require. Which is kind of a hustle, if you have about 50 folders in main space view, with each between 20 and 250 subitems, which have an uncounted amount of subitems again* and... you get the idea.
(*Which is also a huge issue for table view btw, because it increases loading times extremely, especially compared to list view!)
Ralph Hirle she clicked the pin next to the project name, isn't that the way to pin a project and not a view?
Steve Mruskovic that should be the correct way. In this case, I'd recommend to open up a ticket with Wrike support. They'll be able to assist you, in case it really is a bug. Just click "Submit a Request" on top of this page!
Hi Steve Mruskovic, just to clarify, here's the option to pin a project:
As Ralph Hirle mentioned, if you're experiencing a different behavior, please let me know and I can open a ticket with our Support Team on your behalf 👍
Ralph Hirle, thank you very much for the additional details! I've passed your feedback on to our Product Development Team 👍
We will keep you informed if there are any changes. In the meantime, if you have any additional questions, please let us know 🙂
@... thanks, and yes, that is how my co-worker is pinning. The system seems to be arbitrarily displaying it as "List", as I showed in my example. I've asked her for more details on if she can determine how/when it is happening, but she didn't even realize you could pin a view and the project pin is all she has used.
Thank you for your reply, Steve Mruskovic. If after discussing the case with your colleague you consider that our Support Team could be of help, please let me know 👍
Bumping this thread up, as I had to explain to two members today, that this functionality isn't available aynmore.
Is there any plan to re-implement this feature? Because, to be honest, Pinned is getting pretty useless this way...
Hey Ralph Hirle! We don't have updates at the moment; I've now moved your post to the Product Feedback forum so others could upvote 👍

Lisa Thank you for your reply and moving it to Product Feedback! Sad to hear, that features like that are just removed without alternative in Lightspeed. Another case of the "improvements" to UX I guess :( Hope it will pop up on the roadmap soon!
Thank you for your reply, Ralph Hirle, please rest assured that we are sharing all your comments with our Product Team, who are paying special attention to feedback related to Wrike Lightspeed. Here is one example that illustrates how important your thoughts are in these cases.
Thank you once more and we will keep you updated if we are informed of any changes 👍
