Enable columns to be fixed - control column order across all projects/folders.
This should be an optional tick-box approach so it remains an option, not a must-have for those that do not require this consistency. Different templates could be created to apply to different parts of the business. eg. Product 1, product 2, marketing etc.

Yes I have the freeze columns in use. I was referring to the fixing of the column order for applying a consistent view across all projects. eg. Open column options, decide on the column order and then apply globally. I have tried controlling this from the top most folder but everything below does not inherit the same order. I wish this could be an optional setting.
I thought this would be possible using freeze frames in Blueprints, so that everyone started at a consistent place. BUT BPs are broken and do not retain this freeze functionality once converted to a project - another post I have open, and the fact that roll up is not carried forward (yet another bug and post open). Sadly the more I dig into the settings to find a workaround, the more I find I cannot. :(
Thank you for sharing more detail on the topic Tony Edmeades! Another option I was thinking of is custom views. It's possible to set up a table view the way you need it to be and then create a custom view of it that can be set as default for a project, folder, or space. Could that help you?
