Calendar View Based On Custom Date Field

In Calendars object, it would be great to create a calendar that displays tasks based on a custom date field (rather than current restrictions requiring display by Full Duration or End Date).

Alternatively, in Reports object, perhaps enable a calendar view of filtered tasks/projects (rather than current restrictions requiring a table view).

Use Case:
Using a "Live Date" custom date field which identifies when something is published/active in market. This could be used internally with marketing teams, sales teams, and leadership so they can see what's active/in market now and in the future, while still allowing use of Start/End Dates for production purposes.

I completely agree with this request, and we could also use a feature like this that allows us to build a calendar that displays a custom date field as "Publish Date" and then also utilize the Start/End Dates for internal production purposes. Often times the Publish date is a few days/weeks out from the date that a task has been completed by our internal teams.

Without this feature, I'm not really sure I fully understand what purpose the custom date field has.
