Analytics for Projects (not just tasks)

As an organization we are really impressed with the analytics available for tasks, but it would be much more useful for our leadership team and users to have this data for the projects we have in Wrike. We pull together reports to socialize with leadership and others, but the visuals and graphs created in the analytics tab would be much better for our dashboards and report outs to give our stakeholders an idea of how many active projects we have, how many we've completed this YTD, how many have been cancelled, etc.

Hi Stephen - We really need Analytics for Projects as we too use Projects as our primary tracking mechanism. I second this request, thank you Sage for suggesting it. How soon can it get on the development list? 😀

Hey guys, just jumping here to say there's no update for this one. It would help greatly if others could come here as well and vote for the feature suggestion - that is how our Product team estimates the popularity if the suggestion 👍

This would be great to have. We have a lot of products that we are developing and they are tracked on a project level. It would be useful to have this in order to see how many "products"/projects are in each phase ie. artwork, procurement, production. ready to launch. These are built in a workflow.  Right now the perfermance chart can only track the basic statuses. A custom status based on a workflow would make it really powerful.

My Team would use this extensively as well. Is there any update on this being in the works?

I agree this would be useful.  I have also voted for Project Kanban boards, a post which defers to Dashboards.

I think the analysis of Projects on Dashboards is OK, but that is very limited.  For starters, you need to spend time setting up dashboards correctly, and my team hasn't gotten there yet.  I compared Wrike closely with Asana, and you guys win in just about every key need for me, but a good, easy to access, visually-pleasing Report for Projects, ideally that could include the entirety of Wrike, is missing.  Here are some examples that I think you could easily emulate with Analytics:

I assume you guys are on top of what Asana's doing, but that has a few basics that I would love to see in Wrike - status, and latest update first and foremost.

This is a newer tool Hive, but a similar approach.  This one is not much more than the Wrike list view, but there is more info.  Which brings up another point I've thought of - you guys have a ton of real estate in the List View.  Could you not allow some customization for more data to show up there, dare I say as Asana allows?  It's a great way to see tasks and projects at a glance.

Really interested to see what you guys come up with here, thanks!

Also to clarify, my team needs a live DASHBOARD-like scenario where all PROJECTS (not tasks) can be viewed, organized by folder, with all benchmarks associated, current status, and assignees identified. I need it to be a live dashboard-like widget so that it does not need to be generated and can be viewable across departments at all times. Please let us know if this is possible!!!

We are now most certainly in the stage of analysing projects as we successfully track projects through to go live now.  Is there any movement on this request to date?

Analytics I would like to see is comparison against original snapshots to work out which tasks overrun excessively.

Help identify where there are bottlenecks in the organisations processes. This is a monitoring system we run as tasks go through by checking weekly to do lists, but would like the ability to reflect back over a timeline to see how we managed as an organisation.  This is where projects clash with one department, such as testing a product we recently had three products that all became test ready at the same time.

We would also like to see where a task (or person) is runs over the original set date frequently to recognise weaknesses in our processes.

I met with our director yesterday and he is extremely impressed with the work that Wrike and myself have put into timelining our processes and he would now like to start getting more out of the system if possible.  We can do this by exporting projects to excel and manually extracting the data.  Perhaps this is something that with enough community voting could be put in place with a click of a button instead of several hours in excel.

Keep up the good work

Cheers

Glyn

This would be great to have a higher level overview. Our company uses analytics and dashboards extremely often. Having this visibility at a project level would make it even better.

Great suggestion! Upvoted!

Unfortunately, there is almost always a need to report at the Project level. This is a significant deficiency, in my opinion, to the Analytics feature in Wrike. A Project management tool should always offer the ability to report at both a project and task level.
