[From Wrike] New Dashboards Are Here: Upgrade to the New Experience in Wrike Labs! ๐ฌ
Mostrato in alto In evidenzaHello Community,
As you know, Dashboards are one of the best resources to keep track of your work and a very popular tool in Wrike ๐ If you are familiar with this feature, you will be excited to hear that New Dashboards have just been released and you can try their new design and experience their power ๐ช by enabling them in Wrike Labs ๐ฌ
Note: New Dashboards are enabled for the whole account, and are located in their respective Spaces; for this reason, they cannot be accessed through the Dashboard menu.ย
Once an admin or the account owner has enabled the option in Wrike Labs for the whole account, users can upgrade their existing Dashboards to the new experience by clicking on the โUpgrade to New Dashboardsโ button, at the top:
Also, you can navigate to the relevant Space and on the Tools section, start creating a new Dashboard from scratch:
You can create custom widgets or use templates to save time. When creating a custom widget in the New Dashboards, you can now determine if you want it to be based on tasks, custom item types or projects:
Also, you can choose which information you want to display in as many columns as you wish:
You can also sort the information included in your widget by Priority, Name, Status, or Due date:
With such an amount of information to display, the New Dashboards also include the possibility to modify the size of your widgets easily:
๐Charts in Dashboards
And thatโs not all! Dashboards now include multiple visualization formats, including: Table,
Indicator, Donut, Column, Bar, Line, Tree map, and Area charts!
Donโt miss the chance to try this upgraded version of Dashboards, and please let us know your thoughts in the comments section below ๐
Please, note that this feature is being piloted and more updates will be available soon. Widgets like starred tasks, activity stream, file widget and pending reviews are not supported yet.ย
Do you have any questions? We are always here to help ๐
Definitely like the look and added functionality. Am disappointed that exclusions are still not a part filter options. :(
Would also like to see period as a breakdown metric. For example, show all projects in a year and break them down by quarter.
This is AMAZING.
I have a few suggestions/feedback:
This dashboard update is fantastic and it will help streamline our project reporting!
Hi @...,
Thanks for sharing this info! Is there an ETA, when New Dashboards will replace classic Dashboards? And will there be an information to the admins with good training, guides and enough time to adjust? I am not an Admin in our Wrike, but in our set up all users have specialized Dashboards for their functions, which they are required to work with.
The New Dashboards don't look like they are compatible with our current Dashboard workflow and will need intense testing and set up before we would be able to roll them out internally. I would like to prevent disruption like it occured with the Launch of Lightspeed & New Table view, hence my question.
ย
Hi Anna Wallace, thank you for your feedback, I've passed it on to our Product Team ๐
Hello Ashley Fischer, I'm glad you're enjoying New Dashboards! Regarding your questions:
1 - You can adjust the column width to ensure the entire title of the tasks will be properly displayed. Could this help?
2 - Very interesting feedback, I've shared it with our Team ๐
3 - May I kindly ask you to confirm if this behavior also replicates when you're using an incognito window? If this persists, I'll open a ticket with our Support Team so they can clarify your case.
Hello Ralph Hirle, thank you for your question. I'm afraid there are no details about New Dashboards replacing the current version. Currently, the New Dashboards are only accessible via Wrike Labs, which means this feature is not fully developed and not included as a default option.
We could share your case with your Customer Success Manager so that they can help you implement this tool in your account. If you are interested in this option, please let us know ๐
@... I can confirm the widget renaming bug. I reported this last week through the Labs feedback button. :) Just tried it in an incognito window and it's still renaming widgets to the default name.
The chart views are a game changer! We can now see what % of the Marketing team's capacity is going towards which industry or customer type using our custom fields!!!! ๐๐ This helps everyone on the team (and leaders) easily see if we're aligning our capacity to our current strategy. ๐ช
I would love for the charts to use the colors assigned to custom fields (if they're assigned colors). In my example below, the "Category" chart is using random colors instead of the ones I assigned to that custom field. We color code them for super easy visualization. Otherwise we're enjoying the new Dashboard capabilities!

Thank you for your feedback.ย
Adjusting the column width helps display the title, but we have a comments column that can get pretty lengthy, and even with the column adjusted all the way out, it isn't enough. Additionally, the more fields we want to show, the narrower the columns need to be in order to display them all.ย
As for the renaming bug, I've tried it in incognito as well as clearing my cache, but neither of these eliminated the issue. Please let me know if you need more information.ย
Ashley Fischer, we were able to reproduce the bug with renaming, and it's going to be fixed in a day or two.

Can anyone share samples on what filters they are using for graphs? Just curious to see how the community is using the new feature.ย
We are tracking the active tasks by the employee assigned and also the active tasks by Status.
One thing that I wish was an option is that you can pin a certain dashboards to the primary dashboard. For example, we have two dashboard we work with daily but one is my personal dashboard with the items I need to focus on. Whenever I click 'Dashboard' on the left hand side, it immediately loads the department wide dashboard instead of my own.ย
Ashley Fischer Thanks for sharing. Your statuses are so cute with Emojis - you helped me realize that part of our issues is that we have too many statuses and that overcrowds the widgets etc.ย
Lea Labastida Thanks =)ย
We have different sets of statuses based on item type. Projects have AT RISK, ON TRACK, and CRITICAL. Our tasks have the standard "planned, not started, in progress, issue, on hold, completed". We use a comments field to get more granular on where the project/task stands.ย
@... The naming issue is fixed. Thank you so much!
Very welcome Ashley Fischer ๐

Can you make the charts that they optionally show the result in text in the chart. For example:
If i have 4 widgets side by side the titles are not as readable as the old dashboard see yellow marker in below screenshot. Seems a lot of space is wasted in the new dashboard in white space. See red marker in the below screenshot. I always had 4 widgets side by side on a 1920px display, now 3 seems the max.ย
Hey Jacco!
We plan to add chart customization, and what you're asking totally makes sense. It's just charts do not have any customizations at all yet.ย
Your feedback regarding whitespace is spot on, and it's something we are working on right now because it's a common complaint regarding new dashboards.ย

I found a change (probably unintentional) in the old vs. new dashboards. In the old dashboards, we could filter based on task type. This allowed us to pull all the tasks that didn't have a due date and was helpful for managing projects to make sure people were coming in Wrike and keeping it up-to-date.ย
Here's the old Filters:ย
The new dashboards don't have a way of filtering just the tasks where the due date is blank (or the task type is backlogged).
New Filters:
Any chance we can get this back, or another way of filtering tasks where the due date is blank?
Hey Mike! Please give us literally a day or two, and you'll see it back together with some other nice improvements in new dashboards. Thank you for your feedback!

Hi Vladimir, the new dashboad filter for dates doesn't have similar "sort by date" in the old widget.
Current date filter: today, this week, this month, yesterday, last week, last month.
But see screenshot where old widget automatically categorizes date by: overdue, today, tomorrow, this week, next week, next month, later.
It would be great to have the same function for the new dashboard widgets please? (and also "overdue, today, tomorrow, this week, next week, next month, later." in the Date filters).

Hey Jun! You're right, there is no grouping available yet, but we are working on bringing it back. Thank you for sharing your feedback. How do you feel about new dashboards overall?ย

The new dashboards don't have a way of filtering just the tasks where the due date (or any date field) is blank /empty.
Where as in table view "empty / not empty" filter is available (but only for custom date fields, for some reason the default start and due dates do not have this).
The filters available in table view to be also available for widgets please?
Jun, please use the Task Type filter for that. You can pick between backlogged (both dates are empty), milestone (start date is empty), and planned (both dates are non-empty). What other filters that are available in the table view do you need in widgets?

Hi Vladimir
New dashboard great that it has more functionality. Agree with alot of the post from above regarding colours to match status colours and in table view to be able to make it "compact" to reduce the white space, similar to table view.
The Task type filter doesn't work for custom date fields that are "empty / not empty"?
See screenshot where table view for custom date field "QA certs issued" has option for the above. But it's not available in widgets filters.
Hi Vladimir Bugay, regarding the "You're right, there is no grouping available yet, but we are working on bringing it back." could the date filters have this option for the grouping as well?
Date filters: overdue, tomorrow, , next week, next month, later?
ย
Jun, thanks for those suggestions! We will incorporate them into our roadmap.ย
You're right. The Task Type filter only applies to the built-in Start and Due Date fields.ย

Hi Vladimir Bugay, also noticed that the status filters don't show the entire workflow status. Only what currently exists. Which doesn't make sense when setting up dashboards for ongoing status (for the entire workflow).
See below screenshot comparing filters vs Workflow status.
