- Work Item View - Recurrencies Supported ๐
You now have access to the Make recurrent option under the three-dot menu button in the work item view.
The recurrence feature works the same as usual, but now custom items and regular tasks can be made recurrent through the work item view ๐ฅณ
- Wrike Views - View Creation Dropdown Facelift ๐คฉ
We've made a couple of small but impactful updates to the view creation dropdown:
- Custom and classic views are now grouped under their respective headings
- Each heading has an info button that contains a quick explanation of the view types

- Custom Item Types - Location Option Added to Item Creation Dialog ๐
Now, when you create a new custom item from the big + button or by right-clicking on a location (folder/project) in the sidebar, you'll see the updated creation dialog. There you can change the intended location of the item. On Biz+ accounts, you can also change the item type in the same dialog.
Additionally, in accounts on Team plan, users now have a new option in the big + button, where they can create new task-based items. It's called + Work item if they're outside a space (e.g. on a Home page) or it'll display the name of the item that can be created in the current location.
- New Board View - New Button for Opening Workflow Editor ๐ฉโ๐ป
On all accounts, users with the right to edit workflows will now see a new + button on the right of the board. This button opens the workflow editing dialog.
Note: If you're on our Team plan, then you already have this button.
- New Board View - Custom Item Types Icons Displayed on Cards ๐
From now on, you will see the icons of custom item types right on the task cards next to the item name. Regular tasks will also have the standard "sticky note" icon next to them.
Note: These icons won't be visible in accounts on our Team plan.
- New Sidebar - Accessing Blueprints/Recycle Bin/Shared With Me Made Easier ๐
Before: To find Blueprints/Recycle Bin/Shared With Me you needed to scroll to the bottom of the spaces dropdown if you had a big list of spaces.
Now: Those three options are always displayed on the view when you open the dropdown.
- New Sidebar - Spaces Open in New Tab Using Ctrl Hot Key ๐ฅ
You can now open spaces from the spaces dropdown in a new tab by pressing CTRL (CMD) on the keyboard and clicking the space title.
- New Sidebar - Selected Space Preserved After Leaving the View ๐ฉโ๐
Before: In the accounts with the new sidebar, when you left the selected space and opened the Home page, for example, then refreshed it, the selected space defaulted to the Personal one. Space also wasn't preserved, when users opened items from the sidebar in the new tab or after opening the global Stream from the sidebar. So users had to navigate back to the original space manually.
Now: We preserve the space selection!
- List View - Creating Multiple Blueprint Items From the + Item Menu Made Easier ๐ต
Before: When you created a task/project from a blueprint in List view using the +Item menu and needed to create more, you had to select the blueprint from the dropdown again, otherwise a regular task was created.
Now: It's possible to create several blueprint items in a row.
Fixes
- Creating Subtasks on Gantt Chart in Team and Pro Accounts Failed
Some users on Team and Professional plans noticed that when they tried to create a subtask by right-clicking on an item in the table portion of the Gantt chart, nothing happened. We fixed that ๐ช
