[From Wrike] 2022 Product Wrap-Up 📌

Today, we’d like to take a look at all the major releases our team launched in 2022.

There have been many exciting updates aimed at enhancing your experience with Wrike. The three main themes for launches that our team has defined as the most crucial are ease of use, versatility, and power. Many of those releases have been our Product team’s response to the feedback we’ve been receiving from you, as well as reflecting our overall vision and market analysis. Let’s take a closer look at those enhancements!

Wrike Lightspeed - Ease of Use

Our Collaborate 2022 conference was one of the biggest highlights for Wrike last year, and traditionally, the most impactful releases have been scheduled to be announced and launched around the event. In short, Wrike Lightspeed brought us a new look & feel, new sidebar and toolbar, new Table View, new Board View, Calendar View, and the new Analytics View. These exciting releases are aimed at making your day-to-day work powerful - faster, more intuitive, even more collaborative - yet easy. They are still being enhanced and we’ll continue to keep you posted on how the functionality evolves further this year. 

The release of the new Board View has brought the ability to add subtasks to it, which has been one of the most popular suggestions in our Product Feedback forum, and we’re very happy to be able to bring this update to you 🤗

Custom Item Types - Versatility

Custom Item Types is a unique, brand-new platform capability that allows you to create work that mirrors your business processes using your own terminology. Service requests, sales quotes, product bugs, objectives, candidate cards, and as many more as you can think of instead of classic tasks - it’s all possible now. This release is an answer to many suggestions we’ve been receiving over the years, but we’re especially happy to bring you the solution to the custom field order challenge, which has been a very popular ask from the Community 🥳

Since its release, Custom Item Types continues to evolve: Blueprint support has been added, as well as converting regular tasks and projects to Custom Item Types, and much more. 

Automation, AI, Search, and More - Power

Wrike strives to provide you with the most powerful solution in the collaborative work management space and we work continuously to bring more value and unique capabilities to our users. 

In 2022, we made our Automation Engine more powerful by adding conditions (we know how many of you have been waiting for this enhancement!), introducing space-level automation with Custom Item Types, raising the rule count, and bringing you the new look and feel to ensure ease of use. Also, it is now possible to mention project owners in the “Add comment or mention” action 📌

Our team has also expanded Wrike’s Work Intelligence suite by adding another smart feature - AI subitem creation. It is a new experimental Wrike platform capability based on machine learning technology and natural language processing that allows you to easily create subtasks from your task’s description.

Wrike search functionality is now also powered by machine learning technology and provides you with personalized search results. An important highlight from last year is that you can now search by the content of custom fields, which has been a very popular Product feedback suggestion on the Community ✅

In 2022, our Product team has also brought an exciting new capability to communicate with external people outside of your Wrike account by sending emails directly from Wrike tasks to external email addresses. This amazing addition solved two extremely popular Community suggestions - the ability to email non-Wrike users in the workspace and sending email notifications to external request form submitters 🚀

One more important release of the past year has been the launch of space-level workflows. It is a new space administration capability that enables fully independent customization of how each team or department works. Space admins can now have full control over space workflows without needing to involve account admins when setting up a team- or department’s workflows. 

Last but not least, our team also launched customizable user types last year. This is an Enterprise-level feature that allows full control over what users can and can’t do in the account. 

We could go on, but this list is already pretty long! 📜
