Outlook for business application

Hi,

Ive been trying to add the outlook application to my Outlook for office and i having the following issue.

To download the application, MS only allows me to use an MS account (a typical hotmial or outlook.com email). I use my outlook for office with a business account "jgonzalez@bonestructure.ca", the same I use for Wrike.

Is it possible to connect this add-on to this account? It seems pretty obvious to be able to create tasks from email.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Jorge, thanks for reaching out! Just to clarify, I wanted to ask whether your email provider is one of the following:

  • Office 365 Business subscription (Exchange online)
  • Outlook.com
  • Exchange Server 2013 or later

If it is, you can install the add-in from the Office Store online. If this isn't working for you, could you please let me know exactly which step is causing the difficulties? Looking forward to hearing back from you!

Hi,

I assume it is an Exchange Server 2013 or later. Basically I have the latest version of outlook for office installed on my computer. I log into outlook for office with a company email - jgonzalez@bonestructure.ca

When i try to install the app from the MS store it only give me the chance to log in with either a Office 365 or a Microsoft account.

Thanks!

Thanks for the clarification Jorge. This should be working with Exchange 2013, however, due to some known issue, it's not working for some people. Our team is working on a fix and it should be ready to update soon. I'll post here when we've put a fix in place 👍

@Stephen - "This should be working with Exchange 2013, however, due to some known issue, it's not working for some people. Our team is working on a fix and it should be ready to update soon."

Could you clarify exactly what the "known issue" is? We are one of the "some people" you mentioned in your post. We run Outlook 2013 locally with an on-premise Exchange 2013 server.

Whist our organisation has taken on Wrike for Business and staff are enjoying it, the integration with Outlook has been the biggest source of complaints. We have managed convoluted work arounds to get attachments into the Wrike task but proper integration would be preferable.

Regards
