[Backburner ⌛️] Forms: Section text and image
We have a bunch of questions, and the section header, but I wish I could also place descriptive text or image modules to further explain to the form user what is expected of them.

Hi Jezper, thanks for posting, I think this could be useful too! If you're okay with sharing, I'd love to hear more about your use case for this, and the types of questions and Requests that would require these images. Really looking forward to learning more about this!
We're primarily using the request form feature to let our external partners (hundreds) submit content for communication through our channels (they purchase communication to our users), and we have a range of different products. Being able to assist their content upload process would be greatly enhanced if we could further explain, in text and with screenshots or mockups, of how their content would be used. Basically, put their upload in context. The section text feature would be great for additional info in regards of the upload (file format, dimensions, length of copy etc). Right now, we're putting that info in the question itself, and it looks a little messy.
I did a quick and dirty mockup of how one form looks right now, and a (not very well thought out) version of what I'm getting at:
Jezper, that's fantastic! I really appreciate the mockup and it does a great job of explaining how this could be useful. I definitely agree that it looks very neat and would make the process easier for external partners. Thanks for all the feedback you've submitted about Request Forms, this is an area we're continuously working on, and it's great to hear about what you'd like to see there!
We would really like this feature too. At the moment were having to add it to the field title which looks messy as per here:

This feature is on our Wrike Wishlist also. Having a subheading/instructions size text would make the form much easier to read. It would also be nice to have some bold, italic options in there too...and hyperlink availability.

This would be perfect for us too!
To have images would allow us to customise the forms so they are a little bit more user friendly, especially with the help text.
In a similar tone, being able to attach a file that a requester could download or open as reference too would be great (i.e. excel sheet containing formulas or a table)
We would really love to see this capability added. Is there anything on the Wrike roadmap for being able to include visuals in the request forms? The mockup that Jezper Söderlund showed would be similar to what we'd be looking for.
Yes please, yes please, yes please!!!!
Agreed, this would be a valuable addition. Are there any other solutions in the meantime such as using HTML img source code? Thanks!
Hi everyone, thank you for your continued votes here.
@Edgar right now there's not a workaround for inserting an image directly into a Request form. The closest thing would be to include a link to an image in a question field. However, that would require people to copy/paste the image url into a new tab and I completely understand if that doesn't work.
This feature would be great for us too!
Its a lot easier when you see something visual. We want a request for user that they can give us database datas. For example some dimension sheets. This would reduce the mistakes from the user!
We are also looking for the sub-text feature. As well as smartening up the form it will also clean up the task that it creates as well because it currently pulls in all of the explainer text along with the answer where our team only really needs the question and the answer.
We would also like to be able to add images next to text in a form submission so that users can see the image they are selecting
Hi all, I have an update on this 🙌
Now you can add help text, or hints, in Request forms. This is something this thread really helped drive with the Product Team. Thanks to all of you who votes and posted with use-cases 🤗
Getting your feedback here would be great!
Amazing news!!! :)
1) The Help text option is very useful. It works well when the Help text is short, but is less useful when the Help text needs to be longer, for example, when it needs to include multiple examples. I've filled out forms on a lot of websites and have seen them have a little "i" button next to a question, which opens a new pop-up window with additional information. This would be a great future enhancement for the Help text for questions.
2) Another Wish List item is to be able to include Help text for each of the answer choices listed in Dropdowns or Checkboxes. For example, one of our forms has a question with a list of about 7 Dropdown choices. These choices are 2 to 3 words long (so they easily fit into a Custom Field that we can filter by). In order to help the person using the form decide which choice to pick in the Dropdown list, we'd also like to provide longer descriptions about each choice. We don't need these longer descriptions stored in the project or task -- they just need to be there to help the form user make a decision. For example, one of our choices is "Map Change". A user might wonder, "What does 'Map Change' mean?" Additional Help text that is specific to that choice would describe that a Map Change includes changing the type, color or size of a symbol; displaying/removing labels; changing the font/color/size of labels; and changing the default visibility of a layer shown on the map; but a Map Change doesn't include fixing a problem with one of the tools in the map interface.
I would like to be able to create a Request Form for company promotional/swag items and add pictures of each item.
Does anyone know the word limit for the "short answer" and "paragraph" type fields in the forms? I'm assuming we can't put word count limitations on the questions just yet...
My team offers marketing services to our clients and it would be very useful for us to have images available (sort of like a catalog) that allows the client to decided if they would like to opt into a particular campaign. We currently use Google Forms to show our clients the options available to them.
Example:
A client is choosing different email campaign options and has the ability to select which email they would like created on their behalf. The content of the email would be viewable as an image before a question asking the client if they'd like to opt into the email campaign. Another example would be different business card templates to start from.
Here is a mock-up of how our use case would work.
Having a feature to be able to upload a document within the form would be really useful to us.
We assign tests to be performed to our lab technicians and I want to be able to include the testing method for that specific test
@stephen the new notes feature is helpful to a point but doesn't allow you to add general advice without a specific field
We need images in the request forms as well. Mostly for email/lp HubSpot templates selection.
We need images available on checkboxes so you can select which template layout you would like in your request. Please let me know when this has been added.
Our team agrees with @NatalieAshes, having images included instead of just text with checkboxes/radio buttons would allow our users to quickly see various options and select which ones are correct for them.
Hi @Everyone, thanks for you continued input here 🙂 All your feedback is passed to our Product team, and upvotes of the original suggestion by @Jezper help them assess its popularity among Wrike users. For now, I don't have an update to share with you, but I'll get back to you when I have news. Once the suggestion hits 60 votes, we'll add one of the Product Feedback statuses to it.

We too would benefit from image input.
We ask our users to supply dimensions, a simple image makes this relatively easy to explain.
Yep, checking in to agree. Would love to be able to use the forms with images -- would be great for A/B testing options, creating a more branded experience, and helping users through some processes. We currently use forms for recurring article submissions and frequently have non-English speakers participating, so visuals can be an extremely useful supplement.
When are image within forms going to be available? Its extremally useful. Is anyone working on this?
I also vote yes for forms with images. At our organization we use a lot of project templates; we intake those projects using Wrike forms. To have an image included with a form that could serve as a visual reference would help users tremendously.
Upvote and comment to hopefully boost visibility (and votes) for this feature request.
In the meantime, we've begun using an alternate solution (Formstack) for our more advanced forms. Fortunately, Formstack supports webhooks on form submission, and we have Wrike Integrate, so we're able to generate tasks/projects appropriately from Formstack form submissions. It's quite a bit more work to set up and maintain (and carries additional cost for the Formstack account), but at least we're able to do what we need.
