Custom fields should be "createable" from anywhere, much like a hashag can be added in text strings. This would allow a person to avoid having to go to the table view to use the functionality.
I would like to display custom fields anywhere I choose. This is especially helpful in the board view, where I can see characteristics about a task (such as budget) at a glance.
