[From Wrike] Custom Hours in Workload Chart (Wrike Labs)
Hi everyone!
I'm happy to announce that we are launching custom capacity allocation in the Workload chart in Wrike Labs. This means that you can now customise the limit on working hours that your users have.
This feature will allow you to not only change the working hours of your team as a whole, but also on an individual level.
We would love to hear your feedback and thoughts on this Lab release, so be sure to try it out! Let us know what you think in the comments below and we'll pass on your feedback to the Product team. You can enable this feature and more from Wrike Labs.
Dear Hugh,
Thanks for this update. This is really helpful as we have different working hours within our team. We have now tested this feature and have realized that the working hours are adapted in the workload chart but not in the tasks. One of my colleagues only works 6 hours per day and when we adapt this in the workload chart all tasks over 6 hours become red, but when we have a closer look at these tasks they were planned "full time" and this "full time" should now be 6 hours...are we doing something wrong or doesn't this feature also change the full time capacity for the assignee within the individual tasks?
Thank you for your feedback on this & best regards,
Sally
Hi Sally Brüning, glad to see that you're finding this feature to be helpful!
Custom capacity allocation affects the Workload chart, but it does not affect the tasks themselves. Full time still appears as 8h, so you will have to change the tasks to "flexible" and add the hours here to show them correctly.
Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, be sure to let me know
Dear Hugh,
Do you know if there are any plans on changing this? It would be great if the working hours per day could be set per user and then the task automatically adjust.
Best regards,
Sally
Hi Wrike Team,
Updating the users capacity is currently limited to the respective workload chart, i. e. if I adapt my custom capacity to 6 hours per day in an individual workload chart, the reduced working hours will not be visible for the management if they created their own workload chart.
Therefore, would it be possible to transfer the change of the custom capacity to all workload charts where the respective user is included?
With kind regards
Maria
Hello everyone, thanks a lot for reaching out here!
For now, the Labs feature only works in the Workload chart and no immediate changes are planned so far. The team understands the need and reviews all feedback that we receive through different channels to make further decisions, so thanks again for providing your feedback!
