What happened to the wrike task number?
Wrike used to display the task number in the highlighted area. We use that number to document versioned programming changes, so that information is actually useful. I know we can extract it from one of the permalinks, but why do that when we could just have gotten the task number? It seems an odd thing to remove.
Lee, it's not been removed, it's just hidden. Go to the folder that has this task in it. Select either the New Table or Table view. Click on the Gear icon and check ID.
I see. Thank you. I would say that it's far from obvious that these options, which look like they are specifically for the table columns, are affecting how the task is displayed everywhere else.
We are also missing our task numbers and the ID box was already checked months (and many tasks) ago. We too are reliant on these numbers. Where are the task numbers!

Please help.

Amy,
I don't know why the task number isn't showing up for you, but I do know a temporary solution. In the upper right corner is a chain icon for getting permalinks to the task/project, and the permalink contains the task/project number.
Lee,
Thanks for the suggestion, good idea. I appreciate you taking the time to reply.
Amy
Hey Amy, thank you for reaching out! Our Product team is gradually updating the Task header, and these changes are part of it. Sorry for the confusion, we'll be adding the changes to our Weekly Release Notes once this process is finished.
Lee Richards thanks a lot for providing a solution! 🙂

Lisa,
I too appreciate Lee's suggestion, however, his workaround is not a solution. It is adding time, mousing, and clicks to our daily work load. Please return the task number to its visible and helpful location.
Thanks,
Amy
Hey everyone, task IDs should be visible again in the task view! Thanks a lot for your feedback on this!
