Convert Task to Project
I'm just looking for a simple click of a button - Convert Task to Project - on the side bar, that does exactly that. See attached image.

I agree. Sometimes folks want to track only projects and lonely tasks sometimes get lost. What would it take to make a task a project?

I agree with this request. A person in my group decided to start filling our new work space up by making tasks and subtasks without fully understanding the Folder and Project workflow. I'm trying to add some order without deleting and recreating the tasks which should be projects. An option like this where I could specify which folder the converted task should go into would simplify this odd use case.
We really want to see this feature so we don’t lose task history when we need to expand a task into something larger
