[From Wrike] New Table View: Grouping and Files Field Are Here! (And More!) ๐คฉ
รpinglรฉe En avantHi everyone! ๐
We're thrilled to unveil the latest updates to our New Table View! We've listened to your feedback and introduced some powerful enhancements that we believe you're going to love.
Groupingย
We know that this has been a feature that many of you missed in the New Table View, and weโre happy to let you know that itโs now here!ย
You can now group your items by:
- System fields like status, due date, completed date, assignee, location, importance
- Any custom fields youโre using in this table
This feature allows you to organize and visualize your work data more easily and create less complicated work structures.ย
With grouping, youโll be able to expand and collapse individual groups, drag and drop items to another group to change that fieldโs value, as well as filter and sort. Note that only the first level of items are grouped, so subitems remain ungrouped and live under parent items.ย
Grouping also comes with subtotals shown on groups for all numeric fields. It applies for the groups of items and doesnโt include subitems unless they are rolled up to the parent items.
Task Items in a Single List
With this addition, itโs now possible to collapse folders and projects and show task items in one list and retain the subitem (hierarchy) logic of the table when task items have subitems. Itโs also possible to group items once they have been put into a single list.
You can activate this feature in the Subitems menu by choosing the Single list of tasks option. Select the Project and tasks structure to bring your projects and folders back.
It will be especially useful to those of you whoโve been missing the ability to display tasks in a single list that was previously only available in the List view.ย
Files
Last but not least, weโve added the files field to the New Table View as well as table widgets in New Dashboards. This new option will allow you to easily preview files and access proofing without opening an item, upload and download files quickly, and see the indication of unresolved comments at a glance!
We're excited for you to explore these new features in the New Table view, and we're eagerly awaiting your feedback. Let us know what you think below ๐

Wow - wery well done!
The "Single list of tasks" option is definetly the most important step for leaving the old List view. Thank you so much for implementing this feature!
But you should also be aware of the loading time. I just checked the difference to the list view - my test folder took less than 3 seconds loading time in List view, and 11 seconds in the New Table view!!!
Happy to hear you like this update Florian Kislich! ๐ In relation to the loading time, I've raised this with our Support, they will take a look ๐ย
