Allow Stars as filterable item (for dashboard widgets)
There's currently no way to build ad-hoc, cross-project lists and display them in a dashboard widget.
Starring a task seems like a sane way to build ad-hoc, cross-project lists for things that might not be "High Importance" to everyone in the project, but are important to "me".
To allow this, add "Starred" to the filterable search criterion, so that one can find all starred project in a given folder or account-wide.
Plus 1 to Craig. I use Stars to identify my cross-project working list of tasks, and I would like for team lead to be able to view it (in the order I've placed each of the tasks) so that he can understand and we can adjust my priorities to stay in the best possible synch.
When I raised this task to support, Valentine from Wrike noted a very helpful interim workaround:
> While there is no immediate workaround to display another user's starred tasks, you can use any other criteria currently available as a filter to show certain tasks. For example, you can set task importance as 'High', or use a custom field, and then build a widget based on this data.
Great idea Craig! And Joe thanks so much for sharing that workaround, very clearly explained👌
Any updates to this request I'll be sure to post back here.
This would be incredibly helpful to me. Similar to the folks above, I'd like to use starred actions to designate items across all project that are personally high priority to me (not necessarily to the entire team). The "Starred Items" widget is very close to what I need, but it displays all tasks, rather than only active tasks, which is my preference. It would be great for "Starred" to be a filter option when configuring a custom widget.
Hello,
I agree.
Please can you add filters to the starred tasks widget?
Starred tasks are only of limited use if you can't filter them to see my tasks. This would be my main go-to for my tasks, but at the moment it's not really useable.
There are a few threads about this - please can you add this feature?
Many thanks,
Will
Hi everyone! I don't currently have any updates from our Product team regarding this suggestion. Hopefully, it will get more attention (and upvotes 👍) from the community next year!

I'm looking to do this very thing -- create a custom widget for my dashboard that displays only my starred items in a particular folder. Any update on this feature?
