[Status: Not Planned] Custom date in request forms
My team (Communications/Creative) has a number of different request forms available for the rest of our staff. Some items (print jobs) only require 2 days' notice while others (video requests, graphic design) require three weeks or longer. Currently, Wrike allows users to put in any date they want, so we run into a problem of users requesting a date way earlier than what can feasibly be done. For example, a user requesting a graphic design will say they want something a week from today's date, but that's just not possible on our end. Each request form does state that x project requires a minimum of x days/weeks, but our users ignore it. It would be great if I could format custom date fields for each request, so that a user wanting a graphic design couldn't pick a date earlier than three weeks from today's date or a video four weeks from today's date, etc.
Hi Christina Stamm, and welcome to the Community 👋
I was checking with the Product team to see if there's an update here. There isn't one for now, but this idea, though not planned currently, is on their radar. We'll continue to pass on the feedback from this thread to them and we'll let you know if there's news in the future.
Please let me know if I can help you with anything else. If you'd like to know what this Community has to offer, please check out our New to Community forum.

My team also feels this is an important update that needs to be made, sooner than later. Considering Wrike is built for in-house marketing and creative departments and project requests come from within, having this function would make everyone’s life so much easier. How hard would it be to add a checkbox in the form builder which grays out a desired number of dates on the form due date calendar. Considering the original request in the string was made five years ago, we should expect this in 2023.
Hi everyone, thank you for supporting this suggestion with your votes, and comments. The team has confirmed that this request is currently not planned, so we've updated the status here to reflect this. They do plan to revisit the idea at the beginning of the next year.
I'd encourage anyone who is interested in this feature to continue to vote here, the more votes a suggestion has, the more we know how popular and sough-after a request is. You can see more about how we work with Product Feedback in this post.
Thanks for your feedback and the insights shared here 👍
Came back for an update and I can't believe since 2017, this still hasn't been considered. I am currently sending to my entire creative team to get them to upvote! Hopefully we can get this moving into production because it would be so beneficial to so many teams and companies. I bet no one had the time to send it out to upvote because they are too overwhelmed with last minute turn around requests that people keep putting in, even though you ask for at least one week!
I can totally understand where you're coming from Christina Stamm! Please rest assured your feedback will be passed on to our Product team shortly. The team has been reviewing and continues to receive feedback here, but they can't prioritize it over other planned releases and enhancements. If we do have an update for this suggestion in the future, we will let you know about it here in this thread.
Our team can't commit to working on all or even most of the suggestions in this forum, but at the same time, feedback from this channel is still important to them. As an example, here's the list of Community-generated suggestions that the team has released last year.
I hope this info was helpful, but if you have any questions, please let me know.

This is important to the integrity of our requests.
Hi Jordan Barlow, thank you for adding your support here.
Hi, There are two similar posts all around dates and the request forms and automating the assigning of dates right out of the gate, that date back to 2017 and 2018, both are above the 50 vote threshold with 87 and 91 votes each. It's been 5 years, can you please advise why this ask it's being added to the roadmap of enhancements?
Hi Rhonda Towne, thank you for posting and taking the time to share your feedback.
As outlined in this Community post, the Product team looks at a wide range of data, user feedback, and Community suggestions/votes to determine what next to work on. The team always aims to focus on implementing the functionality that will have the widest impact and benefit for the most users, and it's for this reason, that we simply can't implement all of the suggestions we receive via our various feedback channels.
Having mentioned all of that, we still understand this is a highly sought-after functionality among some of our customers, and that this will be disappointing news for those of you who have been supporting this suggestion. We'll continue to share your feedback with the team and if there are any changes to this, we'll be sure to let you know.
This feature missing is actually why we left Wrike. I saw this being updated and thought it might be helpful feedback for the wrike team that they lost at least one customer due to this feature being neglected and how it made the tool nonoperable for us.
Hi Jake Cohen, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback here, we are sorry to hear that you've left Wrike. Please be rest assured that the feedback you share is heard, even if we cannot include it in the roadmap.
Hello Wrike. I just asked my CSM about this feature the other day. I have added my vote to the original request and hope that this will be considered in the future.
Like many other people in this thread here, we have added language that says "requests take a minimum of 6 weeks" and despite that, people still select a due date that is sooner than six weeks. If we could update our request form to say "is this a RUSH? Y/N" and if they select yes, show them all dates starting tomorrow, but if they select no, make it so the first available date they select is no sooner than six weeks, that would greatly help the way we process our projects. Is there any update as to whether this is being considered for a roadmap project due to the number of upvotes? Thank you!
Hi folks, getting back to you here with an update from our team 👋
This suggestion hasn't been added to the product roadmap yet, but our team is planning to consider it later this year, so we'll keep you posted if we get another update here 👍
