Hi Keith! No updates on this, but I'm really interested in learning more about your use case for comment exports.
We also rely heavily on comments for our internal and external teams. Please ADD the ability to include/exclude comments to your reporting options within all Wrike reports AND as a checkbox option for the Daily Digest.
It doesn't always make sense to update the description of the task and interrupt the flow of the work being done - but the comments on the task are stored somewhere in the system and we should be able to access ALL data in Wrike for our projects. Especially when it comes to reporting.
The format of the daily digest email that we receive is perfect, we just want one for comments only - thank you!!
Agree! We rely on comments and need the ability to add these to in the reporting options. It's our #1 issue with Wrike and do not like that we can't pull comments onto a report. As a workaround, we have to create long, detailed tasks names which is not how we want to use the software.
Agreed with the above comments!
I totally agree with the above comments, and I find this very important when it comes to task updates and specially ability to monitor progress and see comments/updates that an Asignee was posting for his/her tasks. If we have comments and date/time stamp exported in excel we can see how much progress has been made and what has been done week by week, if we are reporting a progress on weekly basis.
I created a custom field called Last Update which I can then export to excel, but that unfortunately did not help. Each week when an Assignee want to add the latest update to the task (using this Last Update custom field), it needs to overwrite the previous Last update, and there is no date stamp, so we lose previous updates, which defeats the purpose.
'Add Comment' is great way to see progress and it has time stamp, but without a functionality to be able to export those comments it is almost impossible to create any project update reports directly from Wrike.
Is there any update on this feature? It would be a fantastic inclusion and get us away from so much duplication of work and allow up to both run and report on our meetings in Wrike!
Hi all, currently this enhancement is not planned. If and when this changes I'll be sure to update you here.
I'm moving it to the Product Feedback section so our Product Team has better visibility. Keep the votes coming and ensure to post about how you would use this so our team know how this would help! 👍
We are an imaging CRO using Wrike for project management. Many of our projects are FDA-facing clinical trials which means we have to show the progress of a task. We currently use an Issue Tracker so that we are FDA compliant but are finding it cumbersome having to go between both Wrike and Issue Tracker. Being able to export comments into text would mean that we could attach that document into our Issue Tracker or simply cut & paste the text where appropriate. We would be very interested in this feature as it would cut down on our duplicate tasks.
Sometimes we have 8 or 10 (or sometimes more) people involved in a review. It would be helpful to be able to extract/export their comments and group/sort them in another tool for better management of exactly what is critical to change and what is not so important.
Received 52 edits on a project today. Need to be able to export a running list of these edits so that I can discuss with management. The only way I can now is to screenshot each and every page. Wrike is making my life more difficult than easy.
We need to memorialise decisions made (and documents containing information that was relied on for decision-making). If we fully use the messaging and commenting functions within Wrike it is inevitable that information we need to retain will end up in places we can't export.
Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your feedback here. I will get back to you here when I have news. I'd suggest you to try the 'Print' option to get PDF with comments from particular task/project stream, although it may not be applicable in some cases.

Hello again
Any updates on this feature? We need to track all key decisions made in the comments section without necessarily trawling through each individual task...it's untenable.
@Mikhalina Hey, thanks for reaching out here.
At the moment, there are no updates; I'll get back to you here when there's something to share.
Thank you for posting 🙂

It looks like this is working now? I was just able to export "with comments"
Great feature.
Has this been resolved?
I can't see an option to export "with comments" like Erin Jasper has mentioned.
Hi Anna Tracy,
While there is no feature to export with comments directly, I'd recommend using the "Print" option to get a PDF of a task/project along with the comments.
Let me know if this helped! If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out at any time.
Hi @...,
Thanks for this, I have seen the "print" feature but it doesn't work for what I would like to do.
Guys the feature is still needed, is there any update?
Hi Aharon Santrosyan, thank you for bumping this thread! I'm passing your feedback to the Product team now. I I have an update from them, I'll let you know here 👍

This thread started in 2017! What's the issue? Where is this feature???
It is a shame this is not planned for the short term, we are new to Wrike and our PMs asked about this recently and the value add it would provide.
Hi Cheri Hunt, thank you for posting and sharing your feedback here. This suggestion is not planned for the short term but please do add your upvote if you haven't yet. We'll be sure to let you know if there are any updates.
The commenting in Wrike is where a lot of important information lives. So to not be able to export and archive that information means we have to keep all of our old projects in Wrike, clogging up the system's workload charts, timesheet tasks, etc.
This is a bug fix request, not a feature request, in my opinion. I really don't understand why this is not planned in the short term. It should be relatively simple - people are just needing an export to a txt file. Please revisit this important request with your product team. thank you
Hi Jonny Van Dyck, thank you for taking the time to follow up on this, I understand this is an important functionality for your team. The Product team is aware of the feedback and I'll be sure to share if there are any updates 👍🏼
Any updates on this feature?
Hi Jyl Boline, welcome to the Community 👋 Thank you for bumping this thread! We don't have an update at the moment as this functionality is not currently on the roadmap. Please make sure to upvote the original post above if you haven't yet - the number of votes helps the team understand how popular the suggestion is. Here's more detail on that, but please let me know if you have any questions!
