Prevent Assigning Reviewers on Vacation
You can't Assign Tasks to Users whom have logged Vacation time in the Wrike Calendar, but you can still Assign them as Reviewers to Tasks with Due Dates that conflict with their Vacation Time. Please amend the system so that Reviewers can't be Assigned when the Due Date conflicts with the Reviewer's Vacation Time. That way, we know to Assign a different Reviewer. Thanks!
This would be ace!
Maybe if users had the option to set an "out of office" alert, or something similar that could be used for collaborators that don't have calendars too?
Our reviewers are collaborators so we don't have their holidays in calendars.
Thanks!
I'll add a vote for "out of office" alerts. It's frustrating when you ping somebody for a response, only to find out later that they're on vacation.
Hi everyone, thank you for bringing this up! I think this suggestion definitely makes sense, and I'll make sure our Product Team takes a look at it.
This feature would be a GREAT asset for our team! There are typically more people who are in the office involved in conducting reviews than there are who are assigned tasks.
I'm adding a vote too ! This is super frustating when you @mention someone and realise he was OOO for a while.....
I would like to take this one step further and allow auto-assigning to a nominated person when you're out of the office, so your tags always get picked up (as we can do with emails) our currently clunky solution is to change our profile name to "NAME (OoO - Please refer to NAME)" which is less than ideal
Has there been any movement with this request? I definitely would love to see this option as our company moves from Outlook to Wrike for communication. I definitely like the option to show they are out and who to contact or assign to in their absence.
Any updates here? We have clients direct message employees and we have no idea and can't repond without going into every task daily to look for comments. 😃
Adding this suggestion from another thread:
It would be extremely useful to be able to select a date range from one's profile to establish a timebound, out of office window.
Out of office status could be signified to other users by the system appending [Out of Office] to one's name between those dates. When someone is being assigned a task or @mentioned, the name would explicitly indicate the OoO status.
In an ideal implementation, one could mouse over someone's name and see the OoO dates.
Thanks!
Hi everyone, thanks for your continued support here. Currently, there's no update; I'll get back to you when I have news.
For now, please make sure to +1 the original suggestion by Nisa 👍

Let me also chip in with a suggestion derived from SAP: being able to set a proxy user in Wrike for the duration of your vacation/out of office period.
It would be very handy if you could specify an available colleague to take care of your project/tasks during your out of office period, and specify the time period for which the proxy user is effective.
@mentions during your out of office period could be forwarded to both the proxy user (”@userX [forwarded to you on behalf of @userY who is OOO [start date]-[end date]]”) and the sender (”@userY is OOO [start date]-[end date], your comment was forwarded to their proxy @userX”).
Thank you for posting here too Tuomo Suominen! 😊
