Feature Updates
- Work Item View - Choose Whether to Use it and Control Dependencies
Admins can now choose if they want to use work item view as their default view for regular tasks & projects (but not folders). If they choose work item view it replaces task view and the project info panel.
This can be controlled account-wide by admins from Settings, or for one's own individual account from Profile (still only by admins though).
As it's likely more of you will be using work item view, we've also added a dependencies section to it. You can use it to add, edit, or remove the dependencies of task-type items.
When creating a custom item type you can choose whether or not to hide dependencies by default by clicking the small eye ๐ icon next to Dependencies.

- Desktop App - Version 4.0.6 Released
A new version of Desktop app was released which includes:
- Faster page loading everywhere ๐
- Extended support for new CSS features
- New support for Apple M1 architecture
- The ability to move your tabs between windows ๐ช
- A fix for the Show in finder button in download notifications ๐ง
- A fix for the download progress far
- Updated download dialog
- The ability to export analyze reports ๐
Fixes
- Custom Field Rollup Misbehaving in Blueprints
If users added certain custom fields (Number, Percentage, Currency, or Duration type) to a blueprint, clicked Enable rollup, and then edited the custom field, nothing happened. The value should have been rolled up. It's been fixed.

It looks like the Work Item View doesn't affect the Inbox. Will that be included in a future update?
Is there any way that custom item types could have the regular task view instead of the Work Item View? I have had complaints about the horizontal structure of that view and I have found that view requires extra clicking to assign or unassign people.

When will the "Project Progress" tracking will be added to the new Project Work item? We won't switch the by default setting until this is part of the possibilities.

Robin Hayes, Natasha Tyers We can't show Custom item types in Task view because Custom item types come with a configurable view that the Task View doesn't support. Our team is working on enhancing the Work Item View and its overall design.ย
Julien Thieryย Project progress is on the team's plans for next year. When this capability is launched, we will also send out information on how to turn the Work Item View back on as default. For now, we suggest continuing to use the Project View if this is an important feature for your processes.

Hello, when do you plan to add Reccuring Tasks for Task Work Item View? After you added dependenices and follow as was usual ruccurance is now what holding us back from switichint to Work Item View for tasks.
