I don't currently use the new My Work from Wrike Labs but am experiencing a similar problem it sounds like to what others are. And I have not in fact assigned things to "today" or "later" manually....

I'd definitely like to add my vote to task and subtask reminders. That is HUGE for us and would be extremely helpful. We also do not use Google apps so we cannot wait for this new feature.
