Wrike Calendar Split Dates/Multiple Dates
It would be very helpful to be able to assign a task to the wrike calendar, but with multiple dates. I can assign a task for August 23-25, but would like to be able to assign the task to be worked on August 23, 26 for example - non-contiguous dates for a task assignment.
Dirk, just curious, what is the use case for this? Why would you prefer one task with two dates as opposed to two tasks?
Fair question. As one example, in our R&D lab we often build parts, thermally age them for days or weeks, and then test. Since the wrike task for the technician generally consists of "build, age, test" it would be less efficient to have multiple tasks or sub-tasks. However, from a scheduling I'd like to have two sets of dates - one for the build and one for the test, since I know the technician will be occupied both time periods. I see similar uses for when parts get handed off to other departments or have multiple processing steps.
Hey Dirk Schoellner, thank you for sharing this suggestion and the use case! They really help our Product team when discussing suggestions like this.
I don't have an update for you at the moment, but as soon as I do, I'll let you know 😊
