Our use case:
In several of our Wrike folders, tasks are not automatically assigned, and therefore are easily forgotten if staff doesn't pick up and assign these tasks as they come in. Our processes require that all tasks have an assignee. We use Slack extensively, so we wanted a daily Slack post reminding us of any unassigned tasks within specific Wrike folders.
We've implemented two Wrike Integrate recipes to solve for this need.
1) A callable recipe identifies all unassigned tasks by passed-in folder ID. All unassigned tasks within the passed-in folder ID and all its subfolders will be returned by this callable recipe.
2) A scheduled recipe runs once per day to look for unassigned tasks within a specfic folder (and its subfolders), and posts a Slack message to a designated Slack channel to list all of the unassigned tasks with a link to each, making it easy for staff to click through and assign tasks as needed.
Example Wrike Integrate Recipes:
- https://www.workato.com/recipes/1052848 (main recipe that posts the Slack message)
- https://www.workato.com/recipes/1052781 (callable recipe to get unassigned tasks by folder ID)
This process also relies on a Wrike Integrate Message Template. Here's a screenshot of our message template definition, along with a screenshot of the resulting Slack message:
