[Open Discussion] How Is Your Marketing Team Planning Projects?

An important step in creating success with any marketing project is planning.

For example, in the below Video, our Wrike experts, Vlad and Artem, discuss how marketing teams can use Wrike Calendars to visualize your Project's schedule and how to share Calendars with people outside of Wrike to help keep everyone in the loop.

What do you think of this approach? What are you using in Wrike to plan out your Projects and Tasks today?

A challenge that I'm having is trying to figure out how to structure project plans to account for client approval periods. We set up a project schedule/process before kickoff, so that all of the key dates and milestones are in place.

How are other marketers/agencies setting up their schedules?

Within the Wrike sphere, I cannot figure out if the best way to do this is for each step (content development, client content review, content revisions, etc.) should be a separate Task, or if it should all live under one task and then there are separate sub-tasks for each item?

Kerry, what about creating a Project Template with pre-set tasks, the ones you know are repeated every time in such a process, and you simply duplicate from this project everytime a new client appears? Does this make sense?

Let's say the process here is Content Dev, just to use the example you gave, inside this project you will have the pre-set tasks of content dev, content review, content approval (milestone). With Wrike dependencies you can arrange those tasks chronologically in a way that when you duplicate this Project Template you will see the necessary work overtime with a rough estimation of how much time the team needs to finish the Content Dev, this plays a big role on resource allocation already.

These are a couple tips and tricks I'm using with my team already, let's keep the discussion going!

Best,

John Ostrowski

Hey John! So you have content review as a separate task, not a sub-task, it sounds like?
