I agree that the ability to delete a single file without losing ALL the versions would be very helpful. There are times when a file may be placed in the wrong area or uploaded before it's truly "ready" to be uploaded when a person may essentially want to undo the upload. (Ever hit Send on an email before it's truly "ready"? This may not be quite as potentially disastrous, but still...) We've had this happen several times recently and had no way of restoring the versions without going directly to the Wrike support team. I do like the ability to upload new versions and having the history, but it looks like there are others out there who feel there's a real need to add this ability to delete a single version of a file.
Yes, this is a huge feature need. That said, it's also helpful for folks to not be able to access a sensitive document that was accidentally uploaded. So, is there a way to accommodate both of these use cases? Both 1) restoring deleted file you need, and 2) preventing access to restoring deleted file you do NOT want anyone to see
Need this please - Baddly!!!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭
Another vote for being able to delete a single version in the attachment. I didn't realise you couldn't do this and have stuffed up a task/project history. How do I request to restore this? :(
Hi Natasha, I can see the Support Team has helped with this.
Please keep the votes and use-cases coming guys so the Product Team can understand the popularity of this request and prioritize its review accordingly 👍
Yes, I have accidentally deleted a whole string of files after uploading the wrong PDF, because I thought I was just removing a version (as Google Drive allows). Please add the option to delete a version. Thanks!
Hi There!
I just had a team member do the same thing. Could someone from Wrike Support reach out so that we can restore the file?
Thanks so much!
@Kelsey I've raised a Support ticket for you, you'll get a notification soon 🙂
@Annie Please let me know if you'd like me to create a ticket for you as well 🙌

My team also needs the ability to be able to delete a single file in a series of attachments - not the entire series. And how come when deleted they don't go to the recycle bin?
But ultimately need to be able to select what file should be deleted.

Even if only the user who deleted the file had the ability to restore it, I'd be in favor of that option. That would still allow for files with sensitive information to be deleted and keep other users from accessing it, but it would allow for the user who mistakenly deleted something to easy correct their mistake without having to contact Wrike's support team.
I think this might be a double up but I've just deleted a file with markups for approval and panic has well and truly set in? Can someone please assist with a support ticket? With thanks
Hi Bronwyn Sugden! 🙂
My colleague Hugh has raised a ticket for you here https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360018510314-Can-deleted-files-within-a-task-be-restored- and I can see that one of the Support agents has reached out to you - please check your email!

Wrike is a collaboration tool, as a result contributors need to have elevated rights and it is not possible to avoid delete by mistake. I would greatly appreciate the following capabilities on the attachments:
I find that such a management of attachments is significantly more safe.

Hey Angelos Gaitis, thank you for sharing your suggestions here.
As these are different ideas from the original post, I would recommend creating a separate post about these in the Product Feedback section. This way, the Product team will easily find your suggestions, and the Community will be able to show their support for them as well.
If you have any questions, be sure to let me know.
Acabo de borrar un archivo por error, me pueden apoyar por favor, es importante recuperarlo.
Gracias.
Yes, I agree. A way to restore deleted files is needed!
Maybe have a recycle bin that after x amount of days gets deleted vs perminent deletion right off the bat?
Hi everyone! This post hasn't yet reached the required vote count (60 votes) to receive a Product status, but I'm checking with the team anyway to see if this is something they're planning to work on in the future. I'll let you know if there's an update 👍

Agree, we need to be able to restore the delete files, sometime it gets deleted by accident and there is no way to restore a file ourselves. The customer support team was great with helping to restore our deleted versions, but I would like to be able to do it myself, without asking for help. Please forward this request forward, it is very needed option. thank you.
Thank you for adding your feedback here Liz Allakhverdyan! 👍 The Product team is aware of this suggestion and they keep in on their radar for the future.

Yes please, as we don't want to keep copies on network storage as well. Duplications are a waste. Please add a recovery option. We are about to house an enormous amount of files and this is a big concern.
