Hello Is there any news on this topic? I face similar issues. The app crashes even if it is hidden and I do nothing with it.
It looks like the developers rather prefer to waste time to "improve" the timeline feature and then stop elaborating that halfway, than make little but useful tweaks... There is a plug-in for Chrom...
