[Status: Not planned] Changing the Email to Requester
We would like to be able to change (or add additional) email addresses to the Email to Requester feature within a Wrike project. Often we have multiple clients (and individual clients who go on vacation or change roles mid-project), so we would like to be able to change our lead client contact within this feature.
Welcome to the Community Paul Lyons, and thank you for sharing your feedback, I'm passing it on to our Product team 👍

I was just looking to see if it was possible to cc someone with the Email to Requester feature. This would be a great addition to the feature.
Hi Amy Marrah, thanks so much for chiming in here, we appreciate the feedback!

In applications where Wrike is used as an internal tool and stakeholders are part of the same business organization (but still external to Wrike), it would be extremely helpful if we had the option to allow email responses to task emails from users in our domain other than the original requester (in the case the original requestor CC's an additional recipient) in addition to allowing Wrike users to add additional CC's to the 'Email to Requester' option.
Thank you for sharing detailed feedback here Steven C, and welcome to the forums 👋

Yup definitely would like the ability to CC multiple people when emailing requestor, or be able to change the requestor email from within Wrike.
Agreed. It would be helpful to be able to change the requester after it's been submitted. or when sending out an email to be able to add additional To: and CC: contacts.
In my use case, I submitted the initial request for my client but want to communicate with them in the future.
I'm not sure I buy the security reasons reason for not having this feature since most other task / project management tools / ticketing systems I've used do allow this, but in any case, this is a pretty key feature which is missing and means extra communication with a 3rd party (who the original requester wants us to inform) has to happen outside of Wrike, reducing the usage and weakening the reputation of Wrike - I get a lot of "why do we have to use it?"
Thank you for letting us know your feedback Stephen Pryke, we appreciate it. Please also upvote the original post above as it's on the lower side of votes at the moment.
We'll now share your input with the respective Product team.

Yes, this feature will be of great help when we are an organization with multiple stakeholders.
Currently it is very troublesome to have to keep forwarding emails multiple times on every requested tasks.
Hi Ching Ee Lim, welcome to Wrike Community and thanks for reaching out and supporting this idea 👋 I'll now share your feedback with the responsible Product team.

Hi, I see that this is a request since 2022, and am wondering if there is a possibility of this happening.
It would be great to be initiating an email from a Wrike task to multiple recipients, as there are multiple stakeholders to a project. To keep the email trail in the same location as the task/project would be amazing.
I currently notice that as there is only 1 possible recipient, the communications trail happens outside of Wrike and can cause information loss.
Thanks
I have to add my vote to a CC option. We have run into many cases where the conversation has moved back to standard email because the requester wanted multiple people involved in the conversation. I would love to be able to keep in in Wrike.
Hi! Is there an update about this issue or a workaround?
I understand that we cannot CC additional people due to security limitations since the requester is the person that opted into the terms and conditions, but is there an alternative for communicating with multiple parties that does not take the conversation out of Wrike? Our teams constantly have to take the conversation back to email which defeats the purpose of the forms they are using.
Looking forward to an update.
Thank you!
hi there, I'd also really like to see this feature changed, it's incredibly common to have several stakeholders involved with signing off on something, and now we are forced to move our communication outside of Wrike, defeating some of the purpose. This is truly a handicap to the workflow.
I dont understand the security reasons that are given. The explanation is "Wrike can only send emails from a Wrike email address to those who agreed to this."
But I dont see anywhere in the request forms where people are pro-actively asked to agree to this, other than the fine print "Your submitted information is subject to Wrike’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy",which is not exactly asking people to agree to receive emails.
Thank you all for sharing your feedback with us, I'm passing all your comments on to our Product Team 👍
This is also a necessity for our team. We are in the process of deploying Wrike and this is a feature our old platform had that Wrike does not. The need to be able to CC individuals on a reply from a request form.
Hi, you have been passing this onto your product team since 2022. Is this a feature you plan on rolling out? This would be really important for us.
How can you promote your platform as a collaboration tool for marketing teams if you don't actually let us collaborate well or efficiently with our MULTIPLE requesters on a project/task? This feature should have been implemented in your product since Day 1 of its launch.
I think this is a great idea. I know my company would utilize this feature more if it had this ability. I have added my vote!
Hello Ethan Walker and Jessica Iannone, welcome to our Community. I understand it can be frustrating not to see this feature implemented yet, especially considering it's a popular one. Unfortunately, not all suggestions can be included in our roadmap. However, I can see that this suggestion is very close to receiving a public status. If you'd like to learn more about how we process your feedback, please feel free to check this article.
Byron Gill, thank you for adding your vote!
Hello @..., thank you for your follow-up message. The Community members recognize that there is a feedback process for our suggestions; however, we don't feel as though our feedback is aggregated across multiple threads that are essentially asking for the same or very similar features and improvements. Not everyone requesting the same improvement will word it the same. Therefore, this thread may only have 24 Up-votes, but if you combine this thread's votes with another thread asking for a similar function, it may be something like 100 Up-votes or more. Maybe the Wrike Community Team can create a grouped thread page where individual threads can be linked and aggregated into their common functionality improvements.
I would also like to point out, @..., that even Wrike's own "Submit a Request" form button, above in this Community web section, has a form field marked "Should we CC anyone when we reply?" Is Wrike using its own platform to initiate requests using CC email options? And if yes, why won't you allow your clients the same functionality?
Hello Jessica Iannone, thank you for your thorough insights! Regarding your first comment: We do take into account several threads; however, it might happen that not all of them refer to the exact same idea. We appreciate your feedback about improving the identification of similar threads and ensuring that we're processing your feedback properly—there's always room for improvement, and we thank you for mentioning this idea 🙂
About your second comment: The request you mention is the one used to contact our Support Team. I'm afraid that I'm not able to disclose the internal processes and tools this team uses to manage tickets, which are specifically designed and adapted to their work.
Please rest assured that if this option is implemented, we will let you know in this thread 👍
In addition to this, is it possible to not have the button or selection move from email to requester to internal comment after sending an email to requester? I believe if they are more distinguished or just stay in whatever selection the user prefers that would avoid double work and confusion.
Hi Peace Anemieke, welcome to the Community. Thank you for adding this suggestion to the thread, it's an interesting one and I've passed it on to our relevant Team 👍
Please, feel free to explore our New to Community forum to fully leverage your experience with our Community 🙂
