Feature Updates

  • Search - Search in Custom Fields Added
We've added one more tab in search results. Now, when searching for something in Wrike you will see relevant results from custom fields as well ๐Ÿ”ฅ
There are some more updates to the search feature also and you can find more info in this Community post.
When you convert a custom item into a regular item and vice versa you will see a note about it in the item stream.
Before: you needed to adjust rollup settings after creating a project from a blueprint. Now: When creating a project from a blueprint rollup settings will stay the same as they were in the blueprint.

Spot On Innovative Approach Stellar Advice

Hi there,

in the announcement, you mention "When you convert a project-type item into a task and vice versa [...]" - this was a feature we were looking for for a while.

However, when I want to test it,

  • when I try to change Item Types on a task, only my tasks item types are proposed,
  • and same for projects - only the Project item types are available
  • I did not find any precision on your help center how to switch the item type family itself - from task to project, or from project to task.

Could you provide the corresponding guidelines please? this would be fantastic.

Best regards

ย

PS: awesome improvement for the rollup settings preserved!

Hello folks!

Julien Thiery As we've mentioned in this Community announcement, you can convert tasks to task-based Custom item types and projects to project-based ones. It's not currently possible to change tasks to project-based Custom item types.

Shelly Erickson We are too ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿฅณ

Hi Lisa,

thank you for your confirmation despite it's a shame.

In that case, I guess you should do a correction to the announcement, that is currently misleading and can cause similar confusion in the future. is currently written "when you convert a project-type item into a task"

Great to have the search function cover custom fields and the rollout settings maintained from Blueprints :)
