The Show tasks from subfolders button is back. Thanks.
I still wish to see all the tasks as default or give us an option to do that.

Hey Yoshua, happy to see you on the Community 🙂 I'm glad to hear the Show tasks from subfolders works normally now. When you click that option, your choice is remembered even when you close the app. Please let me know if you encounter an issue again.

Good to know this exists, but I can't see this button anywhere? I'm on Wrike for Mac -- where should I be looking for this button? Please and thanks.

This is suddenly missing from our view and it is critical to the way we manage certain projects.  Please add it back ASAP.

This option is missing for some of our users. Any idea why? Also, is there a way, as Yoshua proposed, to set this as default for whole organization? To give you an example why we would need this: we have folder with all offer request. As these contain confidential information we want to limit the users that can see this, but still keep it organized. Therefore we have another folder inside that, where all the request tasks get created. With seeing tasks from subfolders a person that created request, but doesn't have access to this type of information in general, sees tasks he created in the main folder, while those that have access to the information can see all the tasks in subfolder. This worked great for us in the past, when it showed tasks from subfolders by default, while we have problems with this now.

Hi Aljaž Gorjup, thanks for reaching out! Maybe it's happening because some users are supposed to be able to see tasks from subfolders, and others have limited access and shouldn't be able to see those tasks? Can you please confirm that only people with limited access to the subfolder can't see the option to "Show tasks from subfolders"?

I could no longer see the text option you described Aljaž Gorjup.
    But I found this icon:

Hi Lisa! It seems that this is indeed the issue. So I am guessing this is design feature and not a bug? So someone that doesn't have access to subfolder, but has access to the tasks inside has no way to see them all organized? He has to manually search for them using top-right search function?

Renee Beidler I understand that the feature is now hidden behind the icon. The problem is it is not visible to those that don't have access to subfolder, as Lisa suggested.

Hi Aljaž Gorjup, it is a design feature for security. A subfolder could be a part of several other sensitive folders, so this could be why you wouldn't want a user to have access to the tasks and not to the folder itself.

I can see the benefit of allowing users to see this information though. I'd recommend making a Product Feedback thread about this specific functionality. Once it reaches 60 upvotes, our Product team will be able to provide you with a status on this. You can read more about our process here.

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions let me know 😊

Hugh thank you for your feedback! Do you suggest any workaround for our use case?

Hi Aljaž Gorjup, no problem at all!

I'd recommend tagging these tasks with another folder that is seperate from the folder structure that contains these request forms. This way, they would have all the information they need in one place, with no risk of the wrong users seeing the sensitive information.

Let me know if this helps! If you have any other questions let me know 😊

Hi Hugh! This would work if we create a separate folder for each user that creates tasks, one for all of them wouldn't work as the task is automatically shared with everyone that has access to specific folder. This is a lot of additional work for no reason.

What I did now is create a report for each user, so they have overview there and can access the tasks they created.

Aljaž Gorjup I agree with you, that is a great workaround! All of your feedback has been passed on to the Product team. I'll keep you posted on any further updates. If you have any other questions, let me know! 😊
