How to respond to a review if the document won't open?

I have had two reviews of Word files sent to me today and in both instances the file won't open in Wrike and I have had to download. How do I indicate my response to the review if the file won't load and so the Approve/changes required buttons are not available?

I also have this problem with every files uploaded or downloaded, "The PDF file appears to be invalid or broken
Sorry, we can't load it."
