Hi Julien, sorry for the delay getting back here. Has the New Table View helped with this now considering you can filter by multiple statuses and custom statuses? Meaning you can select Active and On Hold to seeย only these task in Gantt?

If so, I'd like to close this post and take it off the Product team's review. Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi Stephen,

    ย

    thanks for reaching out.

Actually, I would prefer to keep this ticket open. While the "custom" filter option always have been here to let do that adjustment,

    ย

it really strucks me to be able to customize filters option each time I want to see all my Open tasks

    Currently:

    • if I select "Active Tasks", I am missing the on hold tasks - while those on hold tasks remain to be done.
    • if I select "on Hold", I am simply missing all the open tasks.
    • ย

So basically, without using custom filter - which are still more painful that using the default option, you never have an exhaustive view of all tasks remaining to be done - in short "Open Task"

    ย

A quick win and small dev would really be as simple a default filter "All open tasks" - that would combine ALL tasks who are not closed.

    ย

    ย

    thanks for caring

    ย

    Julien

    Hey Julien,

I've been following this thread and to my view, with the change they made, it actually does make what you're requesting possible now.

Now when you click the filter icon and it brings up the filter options, there are check-marks on the boxes rather than it being a modal selection. You can select New, In Progress, and On Hold and have them all show up simultaneously.

Your suggestion was good, and I'm grateful for the new feature too! Hope this update solves it for you.

    Hi guys,

    ย

Really thanks for caring, really, don't get me wrong here: I am not stuck.

I just feel painful as a PM to do custom filter to "Just see all open task" at once.

our job is to follow what remain to be done, and while i feel the option to zoom on active tasks or zoom on blocked tasks are really valuable options, I would love to get the default option to be able to look at all open tasks from a standard - and not customized - perspective.

    :)

    ย

    cheers
